Fullmetal Alchemist's doesn't really end untill the movie and that does have a good solid ending. Any anime that has an ending where they make you assume that the story just continues on and they don't want to show it anymore are the worst. But the one that makes me the most upset are Wolf's Rain, and The Big O. They have a huge climactic battle then everything goes back to normal. For me, FMA, because they were tried to get Al's body and Ed's hand and leg, but in the end
they just recovered Al's body, but Ed's was lost, almost like he was dead.

Heh, yeah Nadesico is pretty archetypal as far as bad anime endings/movies go. "Don't worry, we'll answer all those questions in the movie!"...or answer none of them, create even MORE questions, and at no point offer to explain what happened in the years between which - without aid of the internet - leaves the viewer somewhat befuddled as to the whole experience.
I'll leave out my whole Cowboy Bebop rant, but I hate the ending because it was handled appallingly. Not because it was sad.
Incidentally, the Evangelion series' ending is frikkin' genius. Do not question it.
The endings of Trigun, FMA, Fruits Basket, Genshiken, and others people have mentioned...I'm fine with. I mean geez - take Fruits Basket. What do you WANT them to do, cram all the mangas (that are still going!) into 26 episodes? They do have certain limitations to work under, and if you want the end result to be anything like the mangas at ALL, you have to realise that you can't have your 'perfect ending' like that. Same goes for ones like GTO.
Then of course there are those like Inu Yasha...you've had HOW many episodes and HOW many movies, and you still can't get it right?! No excuse! >_> _________________

i really really really really really really really really really hated the the ending to X TV. It was a bunch of nonsense. Anticlimactic nonsense. I agree with stokerino though, the EVA ending rocked. Oh, Steel Angel Kurumi 2.... worst anime/ending ever. _________________ Miku Miku!!
