I think parents want their kids to be more respectful and nice; they're TOTALLY WRONG. Catholic schools don't discipline you! They turn you into MONSTERS!!! RAWR!!! No I'm not dissing the catholic because I myself am catholic. The teachers can't and don't do a thing if the kids rebel against them. heh. More respectful, yeah right. Public school are considered "nice" compared to some catholic schools (there are a lot of gangwars behind the teachers backs...or right infront of them....sometimes they're involved......even the librarian).... _________________ *Kindly resize your sig to the permitted size*

Only some are bad. Some make you a gentleman that by the time you're 10 you'll be doing something like this:
Boy1"good day sir. Nice weather we're having, no?"
Boy2"oh yes, wonderful weather (it's raining)!! Would you care for some coffee?"
Boy1"oh certainly, I'd love it!! Moneys on me my lad!"
Boy3(only cool guy in school)"Hey wazzup. Wanna go check up on them girls? They're changing....and I unlocked the door! "
Boy1"oh heavens no! That would be rude, wouldn't it not? "
Boy2"Oh yes indeed! What would Mommy say if we did?"
Boy1"Oh something terrible indeed!! yes."
Boy2"mmm of course. Now how about that coffee?"
Boy4"I got the newspaper!! Oh look at the news: someone dropped his coffee!! "
...And thats the end of my comic. Oh wait...that still would be bad for a catholic school, wouldn't it? _________________ *Kindly resize your sig to the permitted size*

I don't think there is a decent catholic school around where I am....... Public schools are better cuz you're Free and don't have to wear uniforms (sometimes uniforms are fun though....). _________________ *Kindly resize your sig to the permitted size*

I go to sydney boys high school, a government selective school. the uniform is tie, blazer, cardigan, collared shirt and trousers for uniform but its not bad wearing it, you get used to everything. Not all Australian Catholic schools are like your stereotype $20 000 a year northshore private school, some are very modest.
Parents send their kids to private schools because i think its true that private schools generally invest more attention and definitely money onto their students. The private schools also let the parents take more control over their kid's education.
I think the boys Private schools also churn out students with different mentalities. Theirs a lot of pressure on the kids to perform and on extracuricular activities (the GPS schools train crazily for rowing and rugby like flying over to indonesia to row almost nonstop for 3 weeks in the holidays cause the rivers are flatter and wider there). |

I don't really know why we eat fish on Friday, we just do. Has to do something with mass. The reason I go to a Catholic School is because my parents want me to be in a Christian enviroment, and that's totally fine with me. My school isn't snobby-they're totally the opposite. There is another private school in the town I live in that charges $10,000 for tuition(and that's just middle school) and thinks they have the best athletic program in the world(which they don't)-while their academics suck. Almost 10 people have moved from that school to my school in the last year and a half. Not all my teachers are mean either. When I was in 7th grade, my homeroom/ language arts teacher was almost like a second mother to me. My history teacher is also very nice. There are lots of nice people at my school. But of course there are the cliques of popular girls and boys. I'm not in a clique. I stand neutral between popular people and unpopular people(notherwords, I get along with everyone) I agree that not all people who go to public schools are trashy. Sure there are lots of rules, but it's nothing I or anyone else who goes to my school can't handle. _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]
Which is worse? The madness of following Tao, or the madness of an existence without awareness?
Don't like what happens to you? Then change.
