If you want, you can change your browser. I assume that you use IE as the internet browser. Try Mozilla Firefox, it is one of the best and it comes with its own in-built pop-up blocker.

i never got around to making firefox block pop-ups either since i downloaded and installed this which i recommend http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3000-2366-10048866.html

I prefer Opera browser which auto blocks unwanted or all pop up. A message will be shown when a pop up blocked, you can allow it by clicking the message.

You don't need to download plugins like Firefox since it comes with the installer.

haha. well i had to go with this since i don't want to install sp2 package. IE for that does a pretty nice job at blocking pop-ups too. i think this third-party blocker is pretty great. the only annoyance is that when there's a pop-up i want to see and it's based on javascript, i hafta disable the blocker just to get to it. good thing it's just a double click on the icon in the system tray. flash-based pop-ups still gets through... i don't even know if there's one that can stop that yet. Lucifer, does opera stop those kinda pop-ups? i was thinking about getting opera too.

You can get something to add with your firefox to block ads. Although it is very troublesome, they have the noscprit extension. Since a lot of ads are java, it will block out java unless you allow that site to use their java. Good for ads, but gets in the way of all your surfing needs. Just an idea if pop-up annoy you a lot.

just use firefox, really, i was apprehensive myself but it's a really nice browser and blocks popups nicely
