Exactly, if everyone downloads for free, then the industry will collapse and there won't be any anime for anyone, period! But this is a debate for another thread... there are plenty out there, and not just on this site.

I wouldn't disagree that the anime industry will collapse, but there are tons of amateur artists who have created amazing animations just as a hobby. Animation programs can cut a whole lot of corners. It seems with the internet allowing illegal trade of information, there has been developments outside the mainstream entertainment industry that have created animations, comics, video games and music with the approach of a hobbist, not a professional. Music is being produced by laptops and are having better quality than early analog devices that took up a whole basement and costed many times more than a laptop which can record digitally. Animation doesn't have to be done cell by cell; something like Dr. Katz or South Park are done in a week; yes, by professionals, but they are funnier than most animated shows. I've seen some Star Wars movies that easily have better special effects than the original trilogy; ships and cgi environments. If the purpose of anime must be tied to selling a product, I say to let the industry fall; it is clearly overshadowing real art done with real intent. |

| I've got...Ranma 1/2, seasons 1-7 on dvd, the complete Love Hina on dvd, Witch Hunter Robin, Fruits Basket, Nadesico, Evangelion, Onegai Teacher, Onegai Twins, Rahxephon, Saber Marionette J, and random one dvd only shows of Samurai Deeper Kyo, Hikaru no Go, etc. |

I have fullmetal alchemist dvds and gundam seed the movie and the first dvd of it. But the movie and the first episode of Gundam seed is like the same that kinda stinks because i didnt know about it   |

| I only have goldenboy and azumanga daioh...two of the funniest animes I;ve seen. I plan to get the entire series of ranma 1/2 and elfen lied once i get some cash....lots of cash. |
