I voted 'manga'. ^_^
As Aniqua, I choose it because I can read it everywhere. Besides that I choose it because of the storyline and the art.
I can't really explain why I like manga better. It's not that I don't like anime though, I just like manga better! ^_^ _________________ [IMG:420:130:c2bb48d03d]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v517/Tammy1989/SIGRuYi1.jpg[/img:c2bb48d03d] |

Manga is by far better in most cases. It's the same as the American Book/Movie. The movie may be great, but they generally condense quite a bit to make the Movie. It's much the same with Manga/Anime.
Personlally I think Chobits is an excellent Anime. But the Manga is at least twice as good and the ending is much more powerful, but not as guy friendly.
Love Hina also comes to mind. I loved seeing it on screen, but it was really only a shadow of the story in the Manga.
Did you know that Ranma 1/2 actually has a halfway decent ending? Well you never will see it unless you read the 38th volume of the Manga.
In general a Manga that is made into an Anime is edited for time, or otherwise compressed, edited and often downright changed. Sometimes that can be a bunch of fun, sometimes it's a pain. With GTO it's a three part. The Manga is excellent, the TV show (what I've seen so far) is very good and the Live action TV show seems very good, but it's getting a little wattered down at that point.
I often enjoy seeing an Anime and then going and reading the Manga if I liked it. I also have favorite Mangaka:
Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma...)
Yu Watase (Mysterious Play...)
CLAMP (Chobits...)
Did I mention that Chobits the Manga is almost an excuse for a Dark Chi (Freya?) fasshion show. Hardly any of that makes it's way into the Anime. So if you like goth girls gone wild, read the manga. |

| I agree on that, manga plots tend to be better designed and planned... plus, I prefer the visual quality on manga. So much detail... |

| I prefer the manga myself because a lot of anime series rely on the manga and are at the will of the manga. The anime is just a fluid recreation of the manga and if you have a active imagination you can read the manga and see the anime in your own head. Also when the anime goes on filler arc the story usually drags and is boring untill they can get back to the true story line of the manga. |

After seeing too many mangas butchered by their anime counterparts (RuroKen, Inuyasha and Yuugiou are three that come to mind), I say manga is 100% better. I don't care if it's in black and white and there's no sound. I want quality, not image. The only anime I've seen that seems to live up to its manga is Yu Yu Hakusho and even then I only saw part of the second season, so it may deviate later on. _________________ [IMG:338:157:4806de63fb]http://i11.tinypic.com/2rqds00.jpg[/img:4806de63fb]

| To me there pretty much even sometimes im really in to manga and others anime keeps me up late. But i can think of more manga series that i like than their anime counterparts. For instance Gantz the manga is by far one of my favoriates but the anime barely made a B- in my book. |

I would have to say manga because almost every anime has a manga to back it up before being released as an anime...Bleach,Naruto,Love Hina, and just a lot others...I can't think of them right now though, heh.
Also I've noticed in some (SOME) animes is that there are details missed in anime episodes like in Negima the anime is finished before Negima the manga is even done and the manga is going way farther than the anime ever did...
Such as the the Festival and the tournament and just a lot more
