Clone Anime

What are some shows that are obvious clones of other shows.

A lot of ppl told me dears is a clone of chobits but its an entirely different story! Thats my example.

Well, Girls Bravo is kind of similar to DearS, and Love Hina is about the same as Suzuka (or not).

Usually harem-type animes would have very similar plot to each other...

-Girl Bravo
-Love Hina
-Dears
-Wish
-Suzuka
-Ichigo 100%

etc...

They are mainly about a extremely normal guy(sometimes loser) who somehow get into a unusual situation that contaim pretty pretty pretty girls around... And many of those very very ver pretty girls (or at least two) will end up fell in love with him...

(I don't include Chobits in the list because there is only Chii who like Hideki, and even though there are many pretty girls around but they don't all fell for Hideki)

i find alot of the highschooly ones similar, same style, same sorts of situations (girls fancying some teacher or guy, getting embarrassed...embarrasing situations..) similar plots...

this true or am i being biased because i generally dont like those anime types?

i don't know about any clone animes.
There r some that are a little bit similar but not clones

if it was manga, id say pastel and parallel, but parallel is sort of a short story

Not so much of clones but some how these animes(like how ppl talk about the similiarity of Chobits and Dears) are similiar due to its genre. So, you see, ppl often called some anime clones simply because they seen before other titles which falls under the same genre.

Vandread is such a clone of Nadesico that it's almost silly.

As is Madlax of Noir.

I dont hink theyre any clones i think they are just related but not copy of others

I don't take seriously when it come to originality. Well Soukyuu no Fafner is a GSD + Eva clone in the earlier episodes, but then it stood out in the middle and in the end. I tend to take one series as its own and only cross-reference with another anime if it just reminded me heavily of it

Besides, plagiarism, if done correctly, can be some sort of honouring the past. Wink

Well say something that's ompletely original then, there's always something that reminds of something other in another anime.
Most shounen anime for example, the main character start of somewhat weak but grows stronger and learns new attacks with time, Bleach, Naruto, Law of Ueki, Flame of Recca, Tokyo Underground, S-cry-ed, Inu Yasha, MÄR etc.
All the animes where there's one guy and 3-4 girls that somehow end up falling in love with him, Love Hina, Ichigo 100%, Girls Bravo, Shuffle, Futakoi , Ai Yori Aoshi etc.
"Stupid/silly" main characters, One Piece, Law of Ueki, Full Metal Panic, Inu Yasha, Lupin III, Flame of Recca etc
The unwilling hero, Guyver, Gundam Seed, etc
There's simply always something that reminds you of one and other but like mistabean said it's better to just take them as their own, just because they remind or have the same theme doesn't mean they're the same now do they.

I thought dears was awful compared to Chobits but animes do tend to copy each other in 1 one or another.
