What is your favorite short anime of all times?

Short ones the one's I like best so far would be Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu laughed alot on this one. Also worth mentioning would be Xenosaga even if it leaves you hanging in the air wondering about what happened afterwards.

In terms of the "26" episodes as the most we can go, my favorite short animes (since I usually don't watch short animes but the longer ones) are:

Samurai Champloo: I just love the characters and their different unique traits and how they interact with each other. Also, I found the animation very unique and interesting which kept me watching it.

Mai Hime: The whole series was very great in terms of the plot and characters.

There are soooo many good movies and short OAVs that I couldn't begin to list them all. But I'll try anyways:

Spring and Chaos - very, VERY touching

FLCL - way, WAY too good to be seen by retards who claim that it has no story but "is really funny" Rolling Eyes

Voices of a Distant Star/Place promised in our early days- beautifull artistry.

Grenadier - never have I had to stop an anime because I was laughing too hard. This changed all that.

Haibane Renmei - The middle and ending had me in tears. Very powerfull stuff.

Paranoia Agent - I get cold chills thinking about ceartain scenes EVERY TIME.

Macross Plus/ Zero - Everyone who "ADORES" Plus but "HATES" Zero
is full of shit. period. Zero had an interesting story and IMHO an inspired ending. Unlike Plus which was interesting but much more by the number.

I'd list more, but it is a pain in the ass. Sufice to say, most anime that quallifys as art to me is short (26 episodes or fewer) because you really cant make countless episodes of anything and not lose quality(at least somewhat).
