Finally someone else agrees with me! Nina sucked bad...
Bah, just about everyone in that show sucked bad... Kou is the biggest idiot ever, and all those idiots on the Albion are just as bad. The only good character to come out of that show is Gato.

And I think almost every UC Gundam series starts with someone trying to steal or destroy a Gundam, then some kid getting in it and owning them with it...
Well, Victory Gundam doesn't. The only two where that exact formula happens in are the original and Zeta. In ZZ the main character tries stealing the Gundam many times until Captain Bright gave it to him...
Boy, I'm getting a really wrong vibe out of this.
A dramatic opening illustrating the horrors of war, a main guy whose crying is worse than Kira's, a new masked evil guy, a hyped-up jpop opening with flying naked people, uninspired character designs with unnatural hairstyles, a new high-tech ship, commander chick doing 'bounce-bounce' in the ship... yes, I'm definitely watching another Gundam Seed show. This is mainstream mecha drivel at its worst, seeing it all over again makes me wanna puke.
p.s. That new blonde chick who looks like Cagali having a bad hair day managed to piss me off the very first second she showed up. Quite amazing. I really wish somebody would blow that empty head of hers though I know it won't happen (any soon at least).
lol... That's the most hilarious and nonsensical judgement made after one episode that I've ever read. Congrats, AlDim, you've made my day.
Judgement? No. Just a feeling of contempt for what I saw in the first episode. I'll watch a few more before I decide whether I should despise the show as a whole. Usually "more of the same" types of fan service shows don't do it for me, that's all.

Then again, with your horribly strange tastes I'm clearly not surprised.
Horribly strange? Well, yours are strange to me too. We are different human beings after all.

What? What are you replying to? lol.
Anyway, I realized that my comments were a little harsh and I deleted my post... Unfortunately you got to it too early... So my bad...
Anyway, people who plan to watched the UF&YO or whatever fansub... Don't bother. Its quality is worse than AJ at its worst...

EHEM........ well i just watched the UF&YO sub and it's not too terrible if u're impatient like i was. First impression of the show... not too bad. However it was funny to see similar events take place. Like the "horrors of war" bit in the beginning seemed just like the first few eps of Gseed, and
the whole thing with the 3 guys attacking the facility and taking the newest models... Plant's initial mission in the first Gseed?
Besides those, the rest of it was what i'ld expect from a Gundam series. I enjoyed the first series so i'm hoping this one will be just as good. _________________ [IMG:508:164:6c8e3c695e]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p252/inqArk/Original_sig.jpg[/img:6c8e3c695e]

Actually, the arm sticking out thing in the beginning seems to have been ripped straight out of a similar scene in Turn A Gundam... But the whole (noncommercial) point of the Gundam franchise IS to show the "horrors of war" so that bit isn't very surprising at all.
But a few things in this series seem to have reference to Turn A Gundam actually, including the Gundam & Zaku teamup which happened in that show too (traditionally Gundams and Zakus are supposed to be enemies)... And the fact that there seems to be a Lacus look-alike who's going to show up judging from the OP and ED (and in Turn A there are two unrelated characters that look exactly the same).
Wow... that first part was kinda tragic. To see his own family killed in front of him.
They introduced a whole ton of new people now and it seems another war will break out. Probably not among states but maybe a war against terrorism? heh.
A quick prediction from me says those three people are from the Blue Cosmos and they want to clean out coordinators. They'll probably be labelled as terrorists but maybe a state is secretly supporting them but Orb and ZAFT and maybe other countries will join forces to fight them.
Episode one is almost a reversal of episode one of Gundam Seed. Except ZAFT has more of a chance in this case since they are fighting in a ZAFT military base and there seems to be many mobile suits and military personnel around.
Some interesting notes... the trio could be clones or artificial humans since the girl is fascinated with her own appearance in the window relfection.
The ZAFT female uniform looks funny and out of place. Bright pink tutu like skirt with a dark maroon tunic?
Also the other new ZAFT Gundam is retarded. Why have it 'assemble' when it is outside the ship and vunerable to enemy fire? Whats the point of launching the gundam in parts and what is the advantage of keeping a gundam stored broken down like that? Me thinks it has to do with Bandai toys.
THough I guess it has to do with the nostalgic factor as well.

seed / destiny is just all the gundams put in the blender, and each time it happens , the concoction becomes worst and worst.
Well so far Destiny is fairly original (other than the stealing of the Gundams which I agree is overdone). Especially the fact that the protagonist is actually a soldier at the start of the series, unlike every other Gundam TV series protagonist.
I enjoyed GSeed, I'm enjoying Destiny. Yeah there’s a lot of cliches, yeah there are a lot of typical "Gundam" moments, yeah the "special" gundams that were stolen had shit security guarding them. But who cares? I mean common AlDim, did you really expect this series to be innovative and breaking limits?
I'm just going to enjoy it for what it is, another Gundam series with lame moments, cool battle scenes and hopefully some nice drama.
well the protagonist wasnt really a soilder at the VERY beginning where they showed how he became a soilder...even so, he should be fairly new to the army if the i actually remembered the timeline.

well it doesnt have to be breakthrough, but many of the aspects of the show has been used repeatedly, the op, the ed r exactly the same, stealling the gundam, masked doods, as the show progresses theres' probably gonna be more recycled junk that will become appearnt _________________

They showed his past, but that took place during the first SEED... So it doesn't really count. He's a soldier in CE 73 and that's all that matters.

How does OP and ED being the same as before affect the quality of the show? Not like they are using the same footage either, only the same style... And maybe that's because *gasp* many of the same creative staff returned for this?

Actually the OP and ED sounds very familiar to the previous run's OP and ED.
Irregardless, the complaints of them reusing 'old' plot devices or things memorable of previous Gundam series is quite valid, to him. While some might easily forget these items, others might not ( which could also explain why some keep harping on originality lacking in series these days ).
Truth be told, I figure Wing or some OVAs before it was the start of this "let's get all the good stuff from the past and mix them together to see what we have".
Let us just see how it goes in the first 5 episodes... ( actually should we not give longer series a longer 'trial' period? 8 episodes then? Hmm... )

You're right, these ideas have been used, reused and recycled time and time again. But that's what makes Gundam series interesting. To see what little twists and differences they will include this time.
