Rasengan Vs Chidori

If u think about it, chidori is like a beam saber(im a gs fan) and rasengan is like a drill. Argghh, this analogy is kind of lame. Laughing

Points to consider

Rasengan:
Doesn't use seals.
Provides unlimited power (if you charge and hold it in long enough)
High level Jutsu (Only the 4rth and Jiraya can use it before Naruto)

Chidori:
Requires seals
Doesnt say how much power (it only says that it is a single thrust with all the chakra you have)
Jyuunin Level Jutsu

The story says both jutsus were used on a water tanks. Sasuke's chidori just blasted through the steel wall of the water tank and Naruto's rasengan blasted all the water out on the other side.

However the story also says that Naruto's rasengan lost to Sasuke's Chidori when they battled each other.

Personally Chidori does armor piercing better than rasengan but Rasengan has more punch.

Conclusion. Rasengan is better.

I guess it really depends on who is doing the jutsu. naruto needs to do a kage bushin first in order to create a rasengan. it is time consuming whereas sasuke just needs a bit of time to gather his chakra. but that doesn't seem to affect any of them in the episodes...

maybe chidori would be stronger since it can cut through almost anything (correct me if i'm wrong)

rasengan damaged the inner part while chidori u can see from the surface....so i vote for rasengan for the inner damage....

and about the story rasengan lost to chidori, its all because naruto just wanted scratch sasukes head-protector.
sasuke the other way wanted to beat naruto..... thats why i think that rasengan hasnt lost^^

and rasengan is also i high level-technique and you can use it much more way than chidori does;)
also sasukes limit was only using 2 chidoris, after that he will kill himself Twisted Evil

@honno you saw the epi when the 3 legendary junins fight against each other?? if yes then you also saw that naruto using rasengan against a guy(cant remember his name^^) but naruto placed his rasengan in front of his stomach, dont tell me that isnt painful when your stomach got twisted around oO

something important to realize. chidori makes you a human bullet, meaning it increases your speed. however if both meet head on, the rasengan wins. i thing chdori is better because its just that sasuke does'nt know how to use the chidori to its full potential. however the rasengan looks way cooler

Rasengan is stronger if you have both of them meet head on with each other. if you mean as in during battle terms, that would depend on the situation and the person using the move.
