| ransengan duh when kakashi threw them both ( in show ) when there about to kill eachother (sigh...) sasuke make a small hole and naruto completely tore the back of the huge water tank |

hmm but isn't chidori is the tech that can break the thunder sword or something while rasengan can't? (or... it's just naruto.. )  |

So? That just proves that he's capable of such power. Wouldn't that still count as the power of chidori? It wouldn't matter if he's pissed or not, in the end its the same move. |

| rasengan and chidori are different suited for different styles of fighting... Chidori is an "assasination" move because its fast and can cut through anything! The resangan just does spread out damage its like comparing a shotgun to a rifle... |

Its not realy like pushing them away and give damge rasengan is an
air blaster that dealt shock pulse to the enemy stunning them.
Ill give u a explanation
Chidori
Preparation
The user first performs unique hand seals to prepare their body for this jutsu. Then the user concentrates his chakra into his hand. What happens is that when the chakra reachest it's purest form in the palm of the hand, it becomes like shreaks of lightning.
Attack
The user simply lunges forward with his hand out to the side, streaming through the air. This in change creates the sound of a thousand birds, hence the name. The user then thrusts his hand into the opponent and if it is a direct hit, it will pierce through whatever the Chidori hits.
Rasengan
Preparation
This is the jutsu that took Yondaime, 3 years to master. It has been passed from Yondaime, to Jiraiya, to Naruto. Amazingly enough Naruto hasn't fully mastered it, he has found a way to summon the Rasengan. He found the way in 3 weeks none the less. First you must concentrate chakra into spinning directions and you must force it to spin the other way. Then you concentrate more chakra into spinning in another direction and once you have it all down, the chakra should be spinning in all eradic directions. Naruto's approach was to spin one way and have his other hand spin it the other way. Once you have it spinning in all directions, you must compress it into the shape of a ball, so the power is compressed and when freed, will expose immense power.
Attack
Simply thrust the ball of chakra into the opponent and it will create an impact within the opponent and the ball will keep spinning. Then the user sends an immense amount of chakra down to his palm to explode the ball and the eradic and vivace chakra spinning around will explode and create a great shockwave. This in turn creates a very painful and powerful move.

Chidori and Rasengan do not have the same use : Chidori for straight assassination and rasengan to inflict a maximum damage 
the problem of the chidori is that you have to predict where your opponent will be in the next few seconds and be faster than him.
The rasengan is just something that can make hole easily in thing and to explode if necessary.
So in my opinion the rasengan is more powerfull because it need less characteristic to be used |

I'd prefer the rifle, thats why, similar to the chidori, I prefer doing assassination moves instead of damage. If you can pierce someone with Chidori, it would do quite a lot of damage as do sending somone hundreds of feet in which you have to run after since they're wounded. |

how about this.. if the enemy doesn't use any "bulletproof-vest" i'll use chidori to smack him off
and if the enemy uses the "vest", then Rasengan it is!

I was just saying the advantage of rasengan
although chidori is quicker/stronger, rasengan can go through shields.. so in some situation rasengan is better o.O
