bike helmets, who else but me wears them?

it doesn't matter to me what u do or wear but i jus think that bike helmts are useless...........thats jus my opinion

If you are riding a bike and you get hit by a bus, you really think a dinky helmet is going to save you? Sure your brains will be in your head, but the rest of your body won't be connected. =/ not to mention a helmet can't save your bike

then again, you'd have to be pretty distracted not to notice a whole bus coming... and I don't think the bus drivers tend to aim for cyclists... still, accidents happen

i've never worn it, thoguh i have had some accidents, but none was serious. i think it looks gay, but i shouled wear it, and so does everyone else....(so we all look gay)

havent worn a helmet since 6th grade, alot of people think your gay if you wear it, when i ride a bike i usually just wear a hat and a beanie as protection. only really little kids wear helmets in my block.

Yeah, so, I look cool without a helmet, and thats really what matters. When I hit that unavoidable oil slick and smack my head on the ground, I'll look cool doing it, and everyone else will think so too.

If you're riding your bike and you get hit by a bus, can you honestly say you'd rather NOT be wearing a helmet? Anyone who gets hit by a bus will have his body disconnected. Even if the bus is only going five mile per hour and hits you while it's turning. Your body will be disconnected anyway it just makes sense.

If I wore a helmet, people would think I'm gay, and I just can't stand people thinking I'm gay, even though I don't know who the heck they are. I gotta be cool and not wear a helmet and be gay.

Since none of my friends have been seriously hurt on their head without a helmet, that must mean I won't be either. Murphy's Law doesn't apply to me. It will never happen to me. I know what I'm doing. I don't just fall down. I am invincible to head damage.

Well, guys, I gotta admit, you make a pretty good argument. It makes so much sense, I think I'll never wear a helmet again! And besides, look at professional cyclists and mountain bikers. They all wear helmets, so, good gosh they MUST BE GAY. And when they fall off their bikes and get banged up pretty bad yet avoid a concussion because of wearing a helmet, they STILL LOOK GAY because they're wearing one.

i do too strongly agree people should wear one. i did not coz i was an idiot, and i dont ride any more (the bikes gone). here if you wear it, you could get fined.

I wonder about the question.....

Is it about wearing helmet on a bike (motor-based) or bicycle (pedal)?? The problem is I understand the question is that the bike as a bike which need oil, gas and sorts. Is that the one or the one that you have to pedal??

helmets are absolutely worthless, hence, i have quit wearing them. back when i used to wear them, i had 2 concussions WHILE wearing one, so they never did me any good

ohh god that was funny.....sorry if that offen u...anyway... used to think that wearin one whould make me look stupid.....cuz i gel my hair in the morning and stuff...cuz it spiky...so wear a helmet will prob' kill it...yeah i know i was stupid..and then one day while riding....suddenly BAMMM!!!!.....some body rear end me...of course i fly like 20 yard across the street withl my life flashin be4 my eyes...but luckyly...i got a broken arm...my neck mess up a lil...and my head end up with 4 stiches.....from that up today....i alway wearin one...and bring an extra in case.. if someone want a ride..

all of your opinons are good but there is one thing that doesn't make sense
it seems to me that some of you would either sacrifice your life for coolness?
coolness doesn't matter when u die...
as i said before in the first post, it saved me from a concussion and/or skull fracture.
that's all that matters for me...
and i mean bicycle (with pedals) but u need a helmet for a motorcycle as well
same bad effects just x10

in our area (york reigon)
you have to wear a helmet, it is the LAW, but it is not enforced
