Shiek lol yes i know alot of ppl like shiek but shes hella fast o.o and her jump punch hurts and tosses things >.> I use a combo with here, its run then do the arm spread thing which hits em in the air and quickly jump attack up hitting them higher then jump up to them and punch em and they go flying ^^ if its done right lol

I fought my brother as peach though and he used bowser and hes good with bowser imgood with peach, i even gave bowser a prostate exam, he butt slammed so i up attacked its not my fault she shoves her hand uup to attack and bowsers butt landed right on it >.>

And i must say the most useless character lol is
PICHU!
Because he hurts himself with his lightning attacks and hes just a smaller version of pikachu lol

both! anyways... I like Roy because of his powerful smashes and that charge up flame attack, and i also like zelda, not just because I am a legend of zelda freak, but because of the Sheik transformation... she is fast and has cool moves. And my little bro likes Falco because of the powerful gun and because he can jump.

roy's counter attack is incredibly powerful when used correctly. and marth's is pretty good too, just not as strong. but it's easier to get it down overall though i like roy

hes super strong thought, and fast if you use him properly.

His punches can do so much damage and send you flying even if you'r not bashed up.
Plus his grabbing and fire moves can go on for some bit, not giving the enemy the chance to hit back...

characters tiers are basically their rank. although each person is different, when a character is used to the best of their abilities, and is compared to other characters, their tier is found. there are groups for top tier, middle tier and low tier. i only know the top tier by heart-and those are the ones i always use(BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT THE TIERS)- and they are shiek, marth, and fox. sheik is the best because he is very fast, and has very little recovery time after he attacks, allowing him to attack again very fast, while the enemy is stunned. Marth comes in second because of his extremely long range(the best in the game, no including projectiles) and his ability to do alot of damage and having high knockback rates(send ppl flying). i also heard someone saying his dolphin strike(up+b move) isnt strong-so wrong, in order to use it to its best, walk up to the person, use dolphin strike, and quickly press the opposite direction, making you go backwards-this is called the reverse dolphin strike, it sends the opponenet flying very far.NOTE: do not reverse dolphin strike off the edge, as it is a recovery you will not be able to save yourself. and finally in third(nad my favorite^^) is starfox. this is because he is fast, has strong-lowlag smashes(his direction-a charge attacks sennd ppl flying and have little recovery time) and because of the infamous SHINE. among the pros fox is very respected, when used correctly, shines are effective, irritating, and best of all, humiliating. the shine is a down+b move that stuns a character for a while. most people dont like this move for anything but reflecting, but thats the worst it can be used for. shining for most people is bad, because it has a low recovery time, but if you jump out of it your perfectly safe, e.g. if u shine and jump right after, there is basically no lag(this is called shine-cancelling) if someone is in the air and you jump up to them(or off the edge to make sure they stayout there and die) and you shine them, it sends them in a downward motion of whatever side of the shine they were hit, and it also stuns them, usually killing them. also, if the second jump is used, then that peron is shined, then the second jump is not useable until that player hits the ground, so u usually want to wait for the second jump before shining. and although this seems very complicating its really fun to do, you can really make your friends in awe at your mad skill, but beware, shining takes impecible aim. and if u have anything to ask about smash bros melee, anything at all, i posted a forum here so go there and ask. also-looke for ssbm combo videos with these names-puffstuff(jigglypuff), purenastiness(samus) the hylian nightmare(link) death from above(captain falcon) and three is one for dr mario but i forget what its called..hmm.. well anyways ogo check out my post or go ask me sumthin...bye

kirby is my favourite without a doubt, his 5-jump ability is great, and i like how you can just use the down b smash to get out of trouble, to hurt the enemy and to make yerself invulnerable in case for example they use a good pokemon.

roy and marth are the easiest to use even if you are not that good at the game so they their moves are not that confusing and do not take that much skill to land so they are easily the best.. not to metion marth does about the most damage per hit. and roy can kill most with only about 60% damage.
