boring anime or more action???

I'd say the anime with a good storyline because that is where all of the true excitement comes from. Of course a mixture of fighting and good storyline is the best, like Berserk (not recommended for a younger audience). Smile

Hmm....this question is pretty hard to answer. Action packed anime is not necessarily interesting and a plain story line with close to no fighting doesn't have to be boring either. It depends on how they balance. To me, they should equalize each other in chronological order. I mean it has to make sense and the writer of the anime has to be very clear about it. Comic reliefs(without lame puns) , and some drama scenes(used moderately) are an exception to this rule. But if a story happens out of nowhere, with no explanation, and is creating a giant loophole in the story then the anime is screwed up. The action won't be able to equalize the negative effects done.

I think anime's like Naruto need more action, but then again they still have a good story so it's a hard decision... But with a genre like that, the action seems to be more favourable.

i enjoy both....but seriously i don't think a good storyline can be considered boring if it is well "GOOD"! i mean how can a good storyline be boring? that's like a contradiction in itself. i seriously never seen an anime that has a good or excellent storyline without any action. but if i had to answer the ques...even though it is contradictory..i would pik storyline...if just have action i would get bored......i mean how can u have an anime with just SOLELY action? ....wouldn't last long.

I think when he mentioned 'boring' he meant as in action wise. You could have an amazing story with no action or very little.

An anime with pure action would actually be pretty good as long as its good. It might not last long, but still good while it lasts because it would lack story.

Seriously... I like interesting dialogue, story, characters, over action in most cases.

well good ?, hmm....FMA (i really didn't like it or love it until the end when everything was unraveling) or naruto, meh its good to have an original story line (unlike all these shonnen animes/mangas which show underdog or overpowered plp, but for me still doesn't get old) but i also love good fighting scenes and power ups and all that good stuff >_< can't pick.

example my favorite mangas are: hajime no ippo and deathnote and if i had to give up one...well i just can't.

To me, it all depends on my mood. One day I could feel like watchin an anime with a great plot, another day I would probably feel like watchin an anime filled with action.
