I am sure that there are some DDR/ITG players out there. Which is better? my vote goes to ITG, mostly because the songs are at least 4 times better than any of the DDR songs. although, i think DDR is more popluar and easier to get into. plus the difficulty is insane with ITG. any thoughts from anyone? _________________ Miku Miku!!

| Do you mean 'bust-a-groove'? Because I've never heard of in the groove. Is it another dance game that involves movement? |

In The Groove is really similar to DDR, but ITG hasn;t realy appeared in the arcades so it doesn't really compare to DDR. Sure DDR is mostly played at home, but most of the fun of DDR derives from playing it at the arcade to show off. Because of this I think that DDR is a better game. _________________ PM some funny pick-up lines please > |

I think DDR is better because it has some pretty good beats in their soundtrack sometimes and is quite challenging when you're playing on the hard level. The game requires a lot of hand and eye coordination and is quite fun if you have the actual pad or stage. The arcaders usually sweat buckets while playing that game. |

Dude, DDR has the catchiest tunes. You may say they suck now, but you can't get them out of your head. They wait there... and wait... and wait... because they KNOW you'll come back for more.
DDR all the way.

but the songs do sort of suck... they got better as the years past, but they still did not get REALLY good. but some are still good, like A and V and TaQ songs, but still... ITG has better songs. But they did copy the idea... thats true. Oh well, I still like/play them both. _________________ Miku Miku!!

now that you mention it, i have never noticed this before, but ITG is really hard to get into. the way everything is set up just seems like it doesnt really want you to be there. its not "friendly" like DDR is. DDR is very easy to get into though. damn. now i am thinking about changing my vote... _________________ Miku Miku!!

Well, DDR would be a better chioce for beginners because ITG get's rather hard. I do enjoy the Jpop tunes on DDR but the techno beats from ITG are pretty sweet, too. I myself am a DDR freestyler and frequently get a crowd at the arcade. [Yes, I like to show off] However, I've only started playing ITG and have yet to see it's full potential.
So I guess that makes me a DDR freak...?

I got the same feeling the first time I stepped up to the ITG pad! It's not as 'welcoming' as DDR. DDR is colourful and has alot more going on, that makes you really want to play. _________________

Well, I started to play ITG more often and it really is a good game because you can do so much more than what you can do on DDR. Bascially you can actually try to dance (instead of shuffling your feet back and forth) on ITG. My friend and I try to break dance while playing and it works moderatly well, we usually score about 79%, but when we play like that on DDR we usually fail before the song ends. I think that in ITG you can express yourself more easily, however this still doesn't change my vote. DDR still has the best song!! "Wish you were here" by Jennifer (i think this song was first debuted on the arcade version of DDR). _________________ PM some funny pick-up lines please > |
