I thought this was one of the better gundam games produced. I thought it was really fun, especially when I got to control Freedom (which is the cheapest mobile suite in the game!!! Super rigged). _________________ PM some funny pick-up lines please > |

Any chance of seeing this translated in the US? I'd seriously consider buying it if it were so. _________________

I bought my copy at UserSide (a japanese electronics store that gets shipment from Akihabara).
I'm pretty sure that this game will come to the states, but it's really matter of time. As you can see, in the screenshots they have a shot of the Force Impulse gundam and GSD hasn't been announced in the states yet. So it might take a while before they give the go ahead and release this game. _________________ PM some funny pick-up lines please > |

GSD is scheduled for a late 2005/early 2006 US release. Maybe it will come out then. Anyway, if I wanna check it out I would definitely have to wait for a US release. I can't read Japanese to save my life, and can only pick out a few words when I hear it...
Jckool: This is a PS2 version in japanese.
Edit: Here is a link to Gamespot's preview of the game:

leoxjm: i know it's a ps2 version in japanese, i just wasn't sure if it was released yet.. i play enough japanese games believe it or not.. meh, and talk about japanese games, i'm about 3 levels away from beating SRW alpha 3.. i need to make some time for those 3 levels haha. oh and, for games like these.. you don't really need a detailed knowledge of japanese.. just probably some common sense, figure out how to move, attack..etc, find a translation guide, what not. haha _________________ Mr. Offtopic o_o

Sorry about that. My bad . It doesn't seem to be quite ready yet.

Ok. Button mashing sounds like a good way to start. I should be able to figure things out along the way, as you say. Thanks.
It strikes me as odd that with the PS3 coming out soon and the game not being entirely ready yet they are releasing it on the PS2. Wouldn't the PS3 be better? _________________

Sorry for the double post, But my last pos tis from way back when, and people are notlikely to rummage through the VG forum just to find this thread.
Anyway, This game is set for release in Nov 17 2005. So far it looks rather nifty. Transformable units can actually transform, characters can go into SEED, there are meteors for use and you can pretty much choone any pilot for any MS (apparently not only Gundams).
If someone gets it, let us know that it is like.
As someone else mentioned, there is also an arcade version.
