Anyone knows how to use the Virtual Drive.......
I know to make a Virtual CD but now....in the few hours....have a download game called Da Capo Plus Commnication...and I'm not sure how to install it...
P.S.
I need to know how to create a Virtual CD...and what term is mount, and burn _________________ "HITSUZEN-A naturally foreordained event.

Sorry, I've never heard of Virtual Drive 7. I've never tried it, but I do know something like it from what you're describing. It's called Daemon Tools and you can get it from HERE .
Install that baby, restart the computer to take effect, and then once your OS is back up again, you will see a red icon in your system tray with a lightning in it. Right click on it > Virtual CD/DVD-ROM > Set number of devices... > and choose a number (i usually enable only one drive). This isn't necessary but go ahead and open up your My Computer. Do you see any difference? Now you have a new CD or DVD drive (virtually). But it's (they're) empty right now.
Now, what you need is an image file to emulate which would be your Da Capo game. Since most of the downloads are archived, I hope you've already extracted that one and ended up with files like .cue/.bin's, .img, .nrg, or .iso. Most likely it will be either the first or the last one I mentioned.
Right click on the lil' icon again > Virtual CD/DVD-ROM > Device 0: [ ] No media > Mount image. Now, to explain the terminology of mount and burn. The main reason that you use a virtual drive is because you don't want to "burn" the image file onto a CD-R/RW or DVD-/+R/RW. "Mounting" the image file is like mounting a CD onto your CD-ROM, and that's what it does. It emulates the file like the way your computer handles CD's. After you chose "Mount image," go to your image file (which would be that Da Capo game) and it will either autorun or... go check your new CD/DVD drive that you saw in your My Computer then do your thing. Once you're done, I recommend unmounting the image(s) and to do that, I think it's a no brainer.
Wahh!! it's 4am!!! x_X
Anyway, I use Daemon Tools if I don't feel like burning CD's. Besides, installing from the virtual drive is wayyy much faster than you would from the CD/DVD-rom. I also disabled the auto-start from the options since I hardly use it much. I hope what I wrote, which is really long, helps. Otherwise... xD

OK, the ones that are downloaded into your computer is in a form of CD image. That means it is in a form of "soft copy" version of the CD, usually in a format like .ccd, .mds, .iso, etc.
In order to play the "soft copy CD", you have to use a software called "CD/DVD ROM emulators". This emulators can also be called "Virtual Drive".
What you have to do is to insert the "soft copy CD" into the "Virtual Drive" which in this case, Virtual 7. The emulator will then read the "soft copy CD" like the real CD ROM, reading a physical CD.
Hope that helps. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

I'm going to install daemon...before i use this......uninstall first the Virtual CD because It may take effect together with daemon.....right? _________________ "HITSUZEN-A naturally foreordained event.

Yeah, it is better that way since having 2 emulators will have some problem, but if you have Virtual 7 installed, just use the emulator that they have. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

thanks for advance...two of you. _________________ "HITSUZEN-A naturally foreordained event.

Not all that has 2 that does the same thing can cause problems and under this situation, I highly doubt it. These two programs uses two complete different engine core and has their own cache in the hard drive to emulate. Emulating one thing should not affect the other emulation. Heck, even if both programs are emulating the same thing, it's just like having two CD-roms with an identical Da Capo game in each one of them. But that eats up computer resources and it's pointlessly redundant (harrr) so it's better to stick to one thing.
BTW, I've never tested this so I'm not exactly sure if what I said is correct. This is only coming from my personal logic. I don't know about Virtual Drive 7, but I do know that Daemon Tools can handle up to 4 virtual drives. And just for fun and if you're curious what daemon means, check it out here http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=define%3Adaemon&btnG=Google+Search

Yes, Alcohol 120% emulator is a shareware and need to register in order to continue usage of the software. That includes some cash off your pocket too if you want to continue using it _________________ Innocent Tranquility
