| i think people were born good but no one (or at least i cant) can really define what right and wrong is and the same goes for good and bad. this question doesnt have a definite answer either since answers are based on what people believe in like religion (but not always). anyhoo, i think people are born good but have the choice to pick what is "wrong " & what is "right" |

 hello there nice topic indeed...
well my opinion is that theres's no good or evil....there's no difference from right or wrong.....we as humans are such a inexplicable race....what some people think is bad others, judge it as good....so everything depends and differs from person to person....what u might believe a person is evil cause he kill someone i might believe he was doing the right thing so it is basically something we humans made up to judge people

are you saying that it is alright to kill someone as long as they think in their mind that it was the right thing to do ? . |

There isn't anything that is truly right or wrong, rather, we define them to be right or wrong. If everybody think it is right, then it is! |

i guess your right but we are given morals for reason dont we, if there was no such thing as right or wrong, i believe we would just be like animals, alot of problems can occur if we arent given morals think about, pedophila, incest, scamming and all those types of things dont seem right in my mind at all . |

One's moral is different from the others', so still, you can't not say exactly which one is the right one. We can define them, but we can say they are right or wrong. |

right on CGY. that is exactly what i believe to be true. i have stated this before on an earlier post. who decided what is bad and good? who decided that murdering was considered wrong? maybe that was not the way that the world was intended to be. maybe murder was supposed to be acceptable. but then, would we think the same way if somebody we loved was murdered? i doubt it. just something to think about...

Well i say the morals we are given, are for the benefit of the whole rather than an individual which is why most ppl have different opinions on morals but i believe the laws we are given keep everyone in check and provide safety for everyone. |

Laws do change.....
Human beings arent evil though...u may think that a person is evil but if you were in his or her shoes.would u think yourself evil?

of course not. and even if they did think that they were evil, then they might just get used to the fact that they are evil. but even if laws are made, who made them right? what about dictators and their laws? in their mind they are doing the people a favor by ruling them with fear and violence, and they are protected by the laws they set up. what makes our laws any different?
