different people need diferent laws to rule them

I don't think a democracy will work for iraq right now...i personally believe that iraq needs a dictatorship

But that's just me.....

It basicaly sez that there are only two animals in the world that take pleasure in killing, not only other animals, but each other also.

Those animals are : humans and their closest living relative the chimp.

This poll is self defeating...

There is no absolute nature of mankind, and it extremely naieve and judgemental to decide that we are either good or evil. Moreso even to define the nature of evil. If an evil act is commited with good intentions, is it still evil? Is an evil act commited through ignorance evil? Is a good act that is commited only to serve an ulterior motive or for personal good still good? If one man believes an act to be good becuase it benefits him, and yet another believes it to be bad because it disadvantages him and neither know of the other, who is right? And even if you can define an evil or good act, can you define and judge a person through these acts? Moreso, how can you seek to judge the few odd billion people on this planet as either good or evil??

The human mind operates beyond understanding. We like to indulge ourselves with the notions of cause and effect, and good and evil, because they make our lives easier. It is easier to label the bully as evil than understand him. Where did we receive this dogma of good and evil? Some think we are defined by nurture, some by nature, but neither of these ring true in my opinion.

This argument is beyond my means to articulate fully, but mankind cannot be defined by the black and whites of good and evil, and it is a fool's errand to do so. Such terms are wholly inadequate, and a clutch of the ignorant.

So I guess I vote for neither Wink

i think that it is almost impossible to define humans in terms of good and evil, we are such complex people, in people who seem nasty there's always what seems to be good, people can have good intensions but carry them out badly. there is no colour to define humans-the closest we could say would be gray (black=bad, white=good for any idiots out there)

I believe we are born neither good nor bad. It's what we're subjected to in our life that affect the way we are. Most people have the ability to make themselves good when before they wern't. Just as someone good could easily turn bad. So, in other words, it's a toss-up.

I think I would like to say that we have the innate nature to be good!!!

I mean think about it, nobody is born evil, right?....

But to talk about something like this is quite deep don't you think?

Don't you think we have to define what is good or evil first??

What is good is bad to others, what is bad is good to others... (most of you should've come to this conclusion)

So I believe that we have to have to have a moral law to tell us of what is good and bad that is true at all times.. don't you think so??

you can't really define good and evil because what seems good to one person could be considered evil by another. if it was so simple to label acts good and evil i would still say that man is both. man has the choice to be good or not, the reason why more evil acts are known of than the good acts is because it's easier to do "evil" things than it is to do good things
