| I always thought fansubs were illegal because it even says if you've paid for this you've been cheated. |

its only illegal if the anime is liscensed where you live. Fushigi Yugi is liscensed here, so yeah it would be illegal. but the upside is that it is MUCH cheaper. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Downside is you might end up with crappy subs or subs that were ripped from a fansub.
The money is going somewhere else other than the studio that created the anime.
I would strongly suggest that you do a bit of research before you buy anime dvds and make sure they are the official R1 or R2 dvds. I personally hate bootlegs, fansubs are atleast done by people who love anime and are free, bootlegs are just ripping off people.. both anime company and consumer. |

Sperm Whales and their moral consciences!
Most of the time, if the consumer if intelligent and against buying bootlegs. the supplier will stop buying bootlegs and get the real thing for the consumers. The place i visit to buy anime realizes this and sells me it taxless because me and the guy that works there went to school with me before. Seriously don't touch the bootlegs unless you want to bear the mark of a tainted collection. |

anyway, some "originals" dvd n vcd that i bought ended up giving me crapy subtitles. Eg: "Fullmetal alchemist" became "Square Enix". However this crapy dvds n vcds are legal in my country.
If you want that original dvd or vcd of Fushigi Yuugi that bad, try going to Japan or Hong kong. they have better subtitles(on the names espacially). |

just a small note, the only reason i have bootleggs is because they were not going to come out in the US, like Kannazuki no Miko and Yami To Boushi to Hon No Tabibito. But i have read tha Kannazuki No Miko is now liscensed here by Geneon, so when it comes out I am going to buy it. _________________ Miku Miku!!

| I've been reading about bootleggs and they say that the quality is HORRIBLE. At least that's what i've read. I also say that fansubs are pretty good and they're not illegal unless the anime is liscenced in that country, so pay attention at what you're downloading, buying, etc. |

If someone said this, sorry, but it seems the posts were all about fansubs so I may have missed it.
EDIT:nevermind, it has an fx logo which according ot the post above me, its a pirate thing. Jus disregard this post (as I dont know how to delete it, so if a mod or someone could do that for me...) |
