One of firefox weakness is when u open many tab in one firefox, suddenly ur RAM usage will raise make ur computer lack of resource. In my opinion, the problem is not only in browser application but also the OS thingy. So stop complain using any of browser version. Always update ur windows OS with the latest official patch and also put firewall, antivirus or any other protecting software. U want more secure using internet? try openbsd or any other unix system. |
The Firefox RAM issue is indeed a problem |

Open up Firefox. In the address bar, type this: about:config and hit enter.
Righ click > New > Boolean: browser.cache.memory.enable. Hit enter and make sure the variable is set to true.
Right click > New > Integer: browser.cache.memory.capacity and press enter and put down 32768 (that's 32mb recommended for systems with 512mb of RAM or more) or 16384 (16mb for those with less RAM). Make sure this settings is saved.

Firefox is the best!!!
No advertisements, and highly customizeable!!!
IE looks like crap next to it _________________ [img:309:200:9b3695521e]http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8583/dobedobedojs0.jpg[/img:9b3695521e] |

| I prefer Firefox to IE. I have seen the New IE beta and I think it looks horrible and it wastes a lot of space. But the downside to firefox is that I can't save webpages under .mht format which IE can. I think I'll check out to see what opera is like. |

Did U download the extension on firefox that allows you to view page in IE?
That's quite useful...
Other extensions i frequently use: Dictionary. Stumbleupon, image zoom, all in one sidebar _________________ [img:309:200:9b3695521e]http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8583/dobedobedojs0.jpg[/img:9b3695521e] |

Yeah got IE view extension, but that doesn't make much difference since I have to open IE anyway. Trying out Opera at the moment.
Some things I like about opera:
-Highly customisable with the layout.
-the status bar-shows info such as speed, time taken etc.
-mouse gestures
-if closed and reopened it keeps the same pages that were there before they were closed
-starts up quicker than firefox
Some things I don't like about opera
-Can't set layout to my taste
-can't sort the history list
-current lack teh amount of extensions firefox have that I use
So firefox is my choice for the time being |

I usually always use firefox, I like it for its simplicity.
Easily customizable and I'll just let the screenshot do the talking.

| Mozilla is the 1st choice for quality, opera is 2nd and internet explorer is 3rd. Nuff said. Don't even bother to use netscape. |

It is, Lucifer. I encounter the same problem when I access some with SSL. I wonder why though _________________

I agree with you there, Firefox is much simplier to use than Opera. I spent quite a lot of time trying to get the layout to my liking plus there don't seem to be a reset to default option when changing layout. Also Firefox has better themes for the time being. |
