Why? WHY? WHY?!?!?!
PSP, maybe. There is no reason to port the games to the DS. What would you use the touch screen for? The DS has enough games that don't use the touch screen effectively as is. I don't want the DS to be just an annoying gimmick handheld. It has potential. Use it. |

The Japanese version will be released this month on 30th March 20006. I have no idea when the NA version will appear, but I hope that it is not too long because..... I WANT THAT GAME!!!!

This is such a waste of a good game. They have to lower the graphical standard to make battles look that kiddie for one. They should have stuck to the PSP... At least then maybe we could have had some Xenosaga the Animation cutscenes or something. Although I love these games to death, its not enough to make we get a DS for.
Those anime scenes do look cool though (:

I don't mind the kiddie sprites though. It has its own appeal, but I am really more interested in how they will join these 2 games together in one game pak. In the end, both games are quite long if you can join them into one. It may take like 50-60 hours easily on the first gameplay if they really input all of the game components into the game.

I'll probably pick this one up. Sadly, I already have both games for PS2 already.
But I haven't even touched Xenosaga II yet. I just want to see the storyline; so playing on the DS should be much faster paced, instead of having to skip voices and lag on loading times and so forth. |

hmmm, well I have no intention of ever getting a DS. The cinematic scenes look the same, so I don't really have a reason to get the DS versions since I am playing Xenosaga ENTIRELY for the plot, which the anime has yet to finish(but probably will not).

Well, I have both games too on PS2 and I have finished both of them except for the additional sidequest for Xenosaga II. Other than that, I have finished both in terms of story.
But regardless, I will still buy that game. I am really interested on how it will really feels on DS and since the 3D graphics movie scenes are replaced with the art of the anime, I wanted to see how it will really looks like for all of the scenes in DS.

What I really want to see is the 2D version of the infamously horrendous face of KOS-MOS from episode 2.
I suspect that the game developers made ugly 3D characters on purpose, all in part of elaborate conspiracy to bring down the 3D games and bring back the glorifying days of 2D gaming.

| Hmm...I think this game could be rather interesting on the DS, and I'll probably pick it up. I personally think it's great that they decided to put it onto the DS, since there's not a chance I'm gunna waste money on buying a PSP just to play it. Although really it would have been good maybe to put it on both hand held systems...but ::shrugs:: |
