Asian vs. non asian manga reader

Yay for the asian.....
Anyway back to the topic.I think that guy is right though...
over there it's called manga.and over here is comic.so there would be more people reading comic over here.It just depends on where you live.

i am not asian, but i know some asians and in asia (most in Japan) mangas are like sweets, you buy mangas to sweeten yor daily life Razz

I think it's a good mixture of asian and non-asian readers. Mangas are always coming out of Japan and Asia so therefore there's your market. Some of the more successful titles are imported to the West(Europe, Americas). I often see a good mix of Americans and Asian-Americans at the bookstore just sitting there reading as much as they possibly can before a staff worker gets them to move it along.

WHat is considered asian, cause it matters on who you ask, cause half the people call me asian and half dont cause i am indian.... and india is not one of those asian ( if it does count) that is reallly into manga, i no no cause mabye some weird ideal that their culture is oldest and purest, but i dont believe in it and i am fed it everyday (i actually am indophobic, yes i am a indian scared of indians and their stuff)

Well! Most are asians then! Ahaha, just as I thought. Most of the users who I have met are either from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China or someplace like that.

I'm a Filipino myself, and people here are quite obsessed with anime right now. Manga is a stepping stone for those addicted to this genre. So it's just expected from my country to patroinize Japanese creations/art.

And Asia is where anime/manga came from.

Do the math yourself.... How many people live in Asia compared to the rest of the world.... also I agree with what was said about manga being a part of their culture at least for Japan, and in probably the neighbouring countries too.

by average Non Asian because I cover up for all the non-readers (read about 30 Volumes a day).
but overall the asian popullation reads more.

Of course asians read more manga than non-asians.

First off, manga originated from Asia....specifically, Japan.
Of course, it would be more popular with Asians.

Manga is also slowly taking charge in American bookstores now..... I remember once when I walked in to a store and so some non-asians were looking at manga and they were like, "Wow, you read this backwords?"
