im pretty sure is the asians that read it more, like in countries neighbouring to japan, such as china and indonesia. japan obivously, cuz they're the publishers and the very first to read it, then i guess would be the chinese, maybe because of the use of kanji in the manga, then idonesia. many of the people i know (and those i dont) are from idonesia, and they all talk about anime / manga that ive never heard of or are pretty new.
dont take it from me tho, i dont reli base any of the above on any hard evidence, only what i know from work.
compared to the western countries, asian is the larger manga consumers. it takes months, possibly years to publish a manga in the U.S according to Anime-insider.

Who ever create manga, their people read more! Which would be the Asians.

Well, a fact is, I personally read over 500 volumes already...

I'm pretty sure asians read far more manga than non-asians.. One of my friends has been exchange student in Japan, and he said all the boys read manga both during breaks and during classes..

Asians are definitely the majority in terms of manga and anime fans. I think it's 'cause we're more closely related to it than non-asians.

Well I'm chinese American. I guess i like manga and anime better is because it makes me feel reconnected to my ancestry. Back to the roots right? I mean, Americans have their own thing, like making as much money off something as they can.

From just my group of friends, I've found that all of my asian friends read manga, but only a few of the others even know what manga is lol.

Definately asians. I've been to Japan a couple of times and anime and manga are major forms of entertainment. There's biiiiiiiig stores that specificly sell anime and manga relates stuff and I've been past rows of anime toy vending machines... you don't really see that in western countries. Though, the Japanese have vending machineces for everything. Another thing is, that asian countries such as Japan, Taiwan, China and going down that coast line don't really have the alternative to anime - american style comics are not well known. So it's just all anime and manga.

No offense or anything, but i think this poll is a little pointless. It is obvious that Anime/Manga would be bigger with asian people considering where it is from and where it is most popular, which would be in Asia. Maybe a poll on how many people here are asian or non-asian would be better. And I am Chinese and definitely believe Asians are more into manga and anime.

on a majority asians would read more manga i think due to the fact that it's part of their culture in the same way that comics are majoritly read by non-asians because it's part of the culture.
