Haven't played much of these kind of game, except Doom... well, they are a bit hard to control, and you have to reload constantly...

Anyway, what's your favorite?

Well, I see why you like Doom, I think is one of the shooters that you don't actually reload, just drops punishment freely to the hell bastards of Mars.

About shooting games(or shooters), my favorite one is Goldeneye for N64; although there's many better(Halo, Halo 2, Doom 3), I think nothing compares to choose Oddjob and kill somebody with your hands, or, , enjoy one of the first shooters that have Multiplayer. Nonethless, Goldeneye is my favorite shooter(or shooting) game.

All about counter strike: source, nothing beats this game. I went all out and played this game for 8 hours straight! Nothing beats it.

Played Counter Strike non stop through my early years of high school but got repetitive for me so at the moment its UT 2004, the killing sprees callings are so cool and its always hard to aim at jumping objects.

on the arcades: Time Crisis, Keisatsukan 911, Silent Scope.

Half Life. I prefered the opposing forces mp to counter strike. The Jedi Knight series was great and had the best melee and had excellent pacing.

I think I should make it more clear: it's intend to talk about arcade shooting game, in which you play with a rifle or gun...

I forgot the name of that one. It's about cops shooting villains, those who taken hostages, and if you shoot the hostage, you lose health. That one, you have to reload constantly...

Are you referring to Virtua Cop? Virtua Cop 3 was pretty awesome with the Bullet Time idea.

I like the Time Crisis series though. Time Crisis was pretty good for passing the time at the arcade since its easy to finish with only one coin. The Time Crisis 2 always get me at the 3rd stage. My hand is already tired by that time after holding the gun up for so long. Didn't play Time Crisis 3 much though since I didn't go arcade much this days. Only played it on the PS2 a few times.

Anyone played Crisis Zone? Another good one to pass time. Not too hard to play too as you can hide behind a shield and its not so tiring holding up the machine gun.

Got hooked to Silent Scope when it came out, but its so damn freaking tough that I have never finished it with one coin. There's a new one that has different missions in it. Sogeki was it? Didn't want to waste anymore money on those games...

There's one that was quite fun to play. Can't really remember the name. Think it was Confidential Mission. Its about being a spy like 007.

As for House of the Dead series. I totally suck at them though. Confused
I can't shoot fast enough. Even if I do, my hand gets numb even before fighting the 3rd boss.

Anyone played Vampire Night (think I messed up the name) and Ninja Assault?

Hurm, I don't have a really good PC but I've played FARCRY and HALO at a relative's PC... It rocks! ( didn't manage to complete the game tho, the last pasrt of those games are hard to beat )

Tho I have a ps2, playing FPS at ps2 is kind'a hard, but still Call of duty wasn't bad.. And I'm currently completing Killer 7. It's kinda cool game, considering you can switch between 7 alter ego and all...

The original Doom and Wolfenstein are great! on the new stuff I like Halo and if I weren't so broke I'd already have my own Doom 3.

Does Descent count in this cathegory? I mean you do use a ship, but mission design and gameplay are more like an FPS than a typical ship/flight combat sim.
