i was asking if what actually happened in that manga...
cuz shounen-ai and yaoi are kinda different

And I asked her about it this, well... um... she said she just liked the thrill of something unusual happening. The fact that two pretty boys kissing gives her chills. Much as like a celebrity love team or something.

| Um... hentai is a not an extreme of shoujo. It is pronography. Shoujo is girls manga or manga geared toward a female audience and that cannot possible equal hentai. Yaoi and shounen-ai are kind of interchangable in Japan. They are both terms used to describe boy-boy love manga, though in the states yaoi is usually used to describe the more sexually graphic depictions. There is actually a boys love manga anthology published regualrly similar to Jump. It's called June. |

yuri is girlxgirl
so, cgy, if u'r talking about the two extremes... wouldn't yaoi and yuri be the two?
shoujo...?... that just means it's for girls... (which in this context... would mean yaoi material)
just like how shounen is for guys
anyways
why i was asking meganekko was... (i was asking him to describe what he saw... not asking him what the genre is)
because i'm getting the impression that he read shounen-ai material as yaoi
...

I think there are more girls who like yaoi than there are guys who like yuri.
Reason:
I see several times more manga scanlations of yaoi than yuri. There's also a popular show about gay people called "Will and Grace," where I heard there were more women watching it than men. (I'm not sure about that though)
Maybe girls are just more interested in special romance series than guys.
Makes you think doesn't it? |
