Why do girls like YAOI manga??

hmm i dun think there are more yaoi than yuri... or that there are more girls who like yaoi than guys who like yuri
i've never counted how many yaoi vs yuri material i've come across... but it seems that there are more yuri than yaoi... probably not in doujinshi or manga or anime forms.. but in piccys
i come across much more yuri pictures than yaoi pictures lol
and this may relate to what u said about guys don't care about the storyline.. at least not as much the girls... Very Happy

(i wouldn't know.. i'm not a guy... dunno how they think.. -__-..)

it's better off just to think of the ratio b/w yaoi and yuri fans as equal ^______^

i dont think that girls like yaoi, sure theres some girls that likes it but i dont think there are many of them.

Thank you majki1! I hate the assumtion that ALL girls love yaoi and want nothing more than to read/watch boxloads of it. Personally I don't much care for yaoi but I'm deffinatlly not against it. People are free to watch what they want to watch.

Maybe it's because girls are more outspoken about the specific type and ten to get a bit... 'rabid'? You know, glomping and squeeling, maybe even to the point of obsessing over them. So that people get a general impression that girls like yaoi. As to WHY is left to each their own, some for the story and some just for the 'bishounen' aspect and some for both.

I asked another YAOI-likey friend of mine. She said pretty much the same, that she likes the 'pretty' boys there. Prettier than her. Haha. Joke~*

Anyway, while the other girl gets the chills, this one gets the goosebumps. Ewww... It makes girls yucky. It makes some have a nervous breakdown, drools and foam in the ears. Haha, another joke~*

But really, they say that it's unexplainable, just the scene of two boys in love makes the world go round the other way....

Well, it does. For me, but not in a happy way. While their explanations mean, "Head over heels". Mine's, "My head got hit by heels, worn by men"

I know I'm super biased, but THEY'RE MAKING ME READ IT!!! Flashing me pics unexpectedly.... waah! Help!

Maybe it's just because they get a kick of your reaction to it. I wonder what would happen if you just shrug it off like, 'yeah - that's cool. but I prefer yuri.' ...or would they just shove more yaoi in your face? lol

if guys love lesbians so much then wouldnt it be a shame if girls didnt have something in return?
