Noein Synopsis & Reviews
A new anime, from the maker of Escaflowne and Heat Guy J... the promo was just released by Nanashi and AnimeYuki...
well I searched the review section here for the preview and didnt find anything... and from anidb.net and animenfo.com, well from the sypnosis it could be interesting (and confusing... i dunno...)
Thoughts from the promo: Hmm.. The artwork style really interests me... beautifully done, and the BGM too is really good... Now to see if the characters are likable, and the story too.. _________________ ...

just watched the promo and i have to say, the style and animation is very striking. the character designs, purely aesthetically, dont really "do" anything for me, but if developed correctly, that won't stop me from liking this. _________________

| I've just watched the promo myself, and I must say that it has piqued my interest as well. It's looking pretty damn good so far, lets just hope the series can live up to the promo. |

The first episode has been subbed, albeit it is a softsub.
And it was not a dissappointing. From early on out I feel connected to Haruka and Yuu, especially Yuu's plight and despair. The animation are crisp, and when the artwork seems strange, it was definitely not ugly or bad.
The BGM is noteworthy. It goes well with a relaxing scene or a suspense scene. The end of the first episode just keep me begging for more, as it left with a cliffhanger.
Verdict: Hell Yeah!!! This is another "definite watch" in my list. Just hoping AnY-Nanashi would speed up with this one. (and Eureka too!!)
EDIT: just saw the update on Nanashi's website. Check it out HERE for news concerning their works. _________________ ... |

Well now that I saw the first episode of it by Shinsen-Subs, I got a clearer view
Yuu's plight really hit me this time, as oppose to AssSub's version. He is desperately stressed out for trying too hard on meeting his mom's expectations, and his mom was none of help either. I couldn't blame him for still holding on to Haruka's word of running away together. Even though she said it out of whim perhaps, but he took it very seriously (you will see why in my ep 2 spoilers).
and then concerning the art changes, I still don't know the main reason why the artstyle was changed. Some speculate that it was the DVD version, but in the end it was only speculations.
Ep 2 raw spoilers coming up. Well the reason of this is the same with Eureka 7, I am too intrigued and impatient to know what is going on
Well, Yuu really have thought it out about running away. After he snapped with his mother, he went to some sort of a storage place and there we found all necessary equipments at the ready (sleeping bag, some food, a map).
His desperation was deepened, especially when he felt powerless to protect and save Haruka. The words of Karas in ep 1 really got into him that time, and that just made him snapped, not only at his mother but also on his friends

Bump for ep 2 subbed ranting
Yeah, Yuu was pretty much disturbed with Karas' words that he can't do anything. When he heard his mom said it, he just snapped. And from the convo he had with Haruka on top of the mountain, he still couldn't get over it.
But now, we had the plot presented to us in a disturbing fashion. The "Birds" are sent to retrieve the "Dragon's Torgue", which turns out to be Haruka. According to Atori (the spidery person), they only need a quantum of her energy. It was needed to save "what dimension is it again" and to cause disturbance on "Shangri-La"
I just hope they will clarify the meaning of terms that I put in the " ". Plus, we know Karas is originally from that time and dimension, but what is Fukurou's role? Who was he in that time and dimension? (My guess is Fujiwara) And what does Fukurou mean by "he"?
Great stuff, so far. Yuu kinda reminds me of a character, but I can't seem to put a finger to it.

I watched the first episode and was sold immediatly
The music during the action sequences was soo engaging that i knew this series is going to be something.
I hope the creators can keep the quality up and make a truly kickass and unique anime. _________________

ep 3 in, thank God Shinsen finally got the names right now (I will try to rant about it without spoilers from the raw)
Pretty good stuff. Well I cant blame Yuu for saying "He cant do anything". Well he was pretty messed up when he saw that knife of his splitted into two. But wish he could do much more though.
On the other note, it seems Haruka got some sort of a reflect power, since Atori's was knocked back at him

I just got the first two episodes yesterday and what do I see today?? A new release!!!
The plot sounds to be leading to something really interesting and even if I find the drawing a bit weird. Everything is long (faces, legs, arms, etc.) but it may be to give a speed feeling.
Sounds great, let's see what happens next! |
