Over priced

Doesn't anyone think the manga's they sell over here at U.S. is over priced?
I mean its like $10 for just one manga when its only like $4 over in Japan. its crazy. If i want to get like a small series that only has 3 manga, it costs about $30 buck while if it was in japan its only $12... What do you guys think?

Well, here in my country, they sell mangas at $5. So I think US prices are just TOO outrageous!

Maybe they have a collector's something inside??

No, I think the price is fair enough. The cover and paper used to make the manga here is of quite good quality, better than the ones we have back from where I came from. It's fair enough.

well c this is wat i think..and don't bash me for saying this cuz i'm not 100% sure~! ....in other country's the value of a dollar is different~!

like in econ. i thought canada was way more expensive right? cuz on everything u always c the comparison of US's prices and canada's prices. but my teacher or friend watever told me that it's because the value of a dollar in canada is less than ours.

so canada's prices may SEEM more expensive..but if we exchange american dollars for canadian money it wouldn't seem as expensive. maybe the same could be said for Japan.

anyways i guess mangas are over priced but i dunno...doesn't really concern me.....been buying anime dvds for 20 dollars each...and one time like 20 dvds for the price of like 300 bucks~!....so that seems more expensive from my point of view..lol.

My country sells them at about 7 bucks each, and the original japanese one at 10 bucks. Its kinda overpriced...

like i said before...the value of a dollar is different in most countries~!

a dollar here (US) could be like .50 cents in another country~!...therefore our price seems more expensive~!

or a dollar over here may be like 2 dollars in another country~!

Prices gone a little lower in Britain coz all the manga comes from America and £ is doing better than $ for the moment.
Thought manga is still expensive and i never got the cash for it Crying or Very sad

Ya, i think manga is kind of overpriced in the US. Here are some prices of manga in Japan

Fullmetal Alchemist 390 yen=$3.42 USD
Naruto 390 yen=$3.42 USD
inuyasha 390 yen=$3.42 USD
one piece 390 yen=$3.42 USD
Monster 486 yen=$4.26 USD
Berserk 505 yen= $4.43 USD

Here are the prices in the US

Fullmetal Alchemist $9.99
Naruto $7.99
inuyasha $8.95
one piece $7.95
Monster $9.99
Berserk $13.95

I mean ya, manga is way more popular in Japan, and you have to do the translations, and stuff in the US ones, but it is multiple times more expensive.

i really don't think manga is that over priced here in the U.S. most books which aren't manga cost way more...like 14 bucks or over..so to buy manga in my opinion for like 10 bucks isn't that big of a deal.

plus i buy anime dvds which cost way more..actually yesturday i bought 2 chrono crusade vol. for the price of $64.93 ~! so yup yupperz~!

I think 10$ are a bit much. there may be some manga who deserve that price because of oversize or wtf, but still...pretty expensive. ink and paper don`cost that much

Do you guys actually considered about the work and package and shipping and taxes they have to pay in order to get the mangas here? Well, I think the prices are just ok, and fair, since, well, from where I came from, the books are just so crap, and so poorly edited, and it still cost quite a lot!
