Angel Heart Synopsis & Reviews on Anime-Source
Sypnosis: Taken from AniDB.net
A young Taiwanese assassin codenamed "Glass Heart" committed suicide by jumping off a building, and her heart was pierced by metal fence. Miraculously, her life was saved by heart transplantation. During her recovery she began to experience strange dreams, which led her to Japan looking for the donor of her heart, who happens to be Kaori Makimura, former partner of C.H.

well then the promo has just been released by A-Kraze, and by the looks of it it seems that this one will be an interesting series...
First Impressions: Well, the artwork looks kinda old school... but the story, now there is where the diamonds are... it has interests me enough for me to keep watch, let's see if it can hold me...

yeah this seems like a good series mistabean. I also thing it is related to City hunter in a way. But this is definantly one i will be checking out, thanks for the info  |

| Yeah, the spiritual successor to City Hunter, minus the 100ton hammers and the such. Read some of the manga a few years back, should be good stuff. How long is it planned for? |

| it's not really related to city hunter, different story..just that the characters look alike..anyway, does anyone know if a team is planning to sub it or not?(i'd like to know if i'll follow the raws on saiyaMan or not); if yes which team(s)?? |

It's not really related? dude do you know what you are talking about? this is the follow up to City hunter.
The only reason it was marked as an alternative universe was because the creator didnt want the anger of the fanboys on him for killing off

it's really old already, it aired in 1987 in japan. I watched the cantonese dubs as a little boy.
I think you should watch city hunter first or at least a portion of it before you start angel heart. I watched the raw for the first episode already and if you don't know the characters you're missing some emotional impact. |

haydan anime does it in french but i can't make it work on my computer. some codec problems i only have with this anime, so if you can make it work, plz tell me. (animeka.com to find it) |

Well then the first episode has been subbed
And this one is pretty heavy stuff, albeit the comedy. And it looks like they make an introductory flashback about Glass Heart right off the bat, which is pretty good to know her history. I am just curious how the hell she survived that jump though.
But this will hold my interest for a while now, another anime to watch *sigh*

Hmmmm, gotta get use to some of the voice actors...
Although i havnt seen the original city hunter, i do seem to remember a jackie chan movie that was based upon city hunter? Ohwell, that movie didnt have too much of a storyline, but i enjoyed it as a kid. However, Angel Heart seems to have interesting storyline possibilities.
Cold killer turning into lady in love, gotta like that.
