I haven't watched the episode yet, but the OP is definitely interesting. At first I didn't like it, but by the time Otome-Shizuru shows up in it, the song becomes a lot better. Though I'm interested in the one person in the fire. I feel like it's Mai, especially because of the eyes.

Ep 1: mixed bag. i didnt feel like this first episode did anything to stand out or grab my attention. it was cute, and a little funny. but i'd say the main reason im gonna keep watching is the expectations im coming into the season with that and the fact that there isnt too much good stuff on right now.

im a little confused about what world this is and is it the future or the past or what? and whats the connection between hime and maids, is there one? i feel like alot of stuff was only half explained

ps- i liked the child's, i think having them is like the bankai in bleach, ie it only adds, that said i think the new season can get away with not having em if they got other cool stuff instead, saw some hints of something in ep 1. will withhold judgement.

Now I know this is a completely different story from the original MAI-HIME with the same characters...the maid-style does not fit my appetite...

hmm... the first ep kind of sucked. I'm not saying that I'm giving up on it already... especially since My-Hime rocked so hard, but this just seems like it's trying too hard. Plus there were no super cool fight scenes like in the first ep of My-Hime. Sure... girls flying around is neato, but I expect WAY better things in the future... and if that isn't the case, I'll be super sad.

I thought I would have been deeply disappointed by this anime (I never liked maid shows), but I actually enjoyed the first episode. I thought the crotch cannon was funny. So far this show seems... interesting. I especially liked the part when shizuru came out with a song because it reminded me of the insane facial expression she had in the other show.

if you read some of the previous posts youll see i asked the same question a little above yours and the answer is there between my question and yours Smile

seems its an alternate universe... slightly confusing but as in the case of mizuki kawashita's mangas where (ichigo 100s) nishino and toujo look alikes are found in the likes of lilim kiss and akane overdrive etc i see nothing wrong with repeating cute characters.

I was wondering if anyone has downloaded the LIME subs for this one. From what I read in previous posts, the doremi one didn't do the opening and ending which I don't really like. So yea... can anyone give a little review of their sub job please.

Lime is ALOT better then the first one, the other i read and felt the conversations and translations where like.. is this all ? but with Lime it was alot better. No way il download other, lime for me was like over twice as good, il stick to them i think.

Whoa... OTOME's 1st ep is even better then HIME ep1 thats for sure... I got hook totally at the very 1st episode... to my surprise since Mai-HiME isn't really attracting to me.

It seems to me that Otome is another story which totally different with HiME... well, anyways it looks better now ^^ the fighting scene really improved... man, can't wait for the next episode.

Judging by Mai-HiME and the 1st ep of OTOME, i think I'm going to follow this series for sometime...
