nah elfen lied was just too gory. can't compare anything to it . there' like blood and rolling heads everywhere.
i thought there's the diclonius girl whos as flat chested as shana in elfen lied wasn't it...
ahahha... that animated gif is actually the preview of episode 9. I just looked it up at where I usually get my spoilers, and there it is ^_^
well episode 9 is the (compulsory?) swimsuit/beach/pool episode
Yep, just found out from episode 8 RAW. No lack of action in that one, that's for sure. It would seem more to be a pool episode though, considering how enclosed the area is, in which Yuuji was swimming (?) in, as seen in the preview. I just hope that the episode is not going to be too marred by people's complaints about 'more fanservice', and that perhaps more humor and character development can take place in the episode 9...
EDIT: Just an afterthought...
The way Shana got in the hits on Marjorie...Kinda reminds me of Shinn Asuka and his Destiny Gundam. It's a reckless but deadly charge when accurate. That shows how much Yuuji boosted Shana's confidence IMO.

We'll I'm not saying in terms of plot, more like the how both is semi-obscure and would be ignored. However you picked it up just to see how it was and found out it was pretty good.

All I hope is that they will not show any more fanservice while Alastor is explaining something to Sakai, though that will be a great excuse to rewatch it over and over again.
They are using many terms. most of the animes that I saw using this style is mecha anime, but usually they refer to some mythology or legend. If we know which one, just look it up and find out.
However the term used here is kinda like Eureka 7, where it is fictional, and needed some explanations. And unlike Eureka 7 (which was easily noticeable due to their abbreviations), I have to work my mind a bit to recall what/where/who etc etc... And i think more clearly without those distractions _________________ ...

You a telepath or something? Yeah, I indeed picked it up because of the summary and a few screenshots, and got more than I bargained for.
Wel, as for Alastor's explanation, I don't think that will be happening anytime soon in the next episode yet, the poolside one. Still, they could have shown certain scenes instead of another fanservicey one, such as imaginary images of the Guze and such...

Yes I am, I predict that the next subbed episode of Shakugan no Shana will be released late Saturday.

why is it that I'm always last to find the good stuff?
I just ran into one of a gif animation of this and saw a veeery cute girl...
and thus...I quickly search for 7 torrents of Shagukan no Shana...
the things that I liked about this one is the artwork on shana...it's flawless...Shana's very CUTE!! but a bit of a downside on the "upper" part but, it suits her very well...Her eyes are very unique and sharp
a definitely a must see anime... _________________ PS3 Trophies
Hey, you're looking at the artwork! That's a definite plus of the series, though I would prefer that more people look at the series for its interesting main theme and storyline as well as character development. Oh well...It is a must see anime alright.
My prediction was on the spot, I must be a genius.
*Bows in respect*
Anyway, finally watched the subbed episode 8...
More character development! Alright! This time, its with Margery again, and we get to see the reason why she became a Flame Haze. The episode was awesome, the action was great, as were the graphics. The flame wings seem to suit Shana well, though she repeated 'I can do anything!' a little too much for my liking. Still, it shows that she has a certain bond with Yuuji, and she would probably trust him more than most people. The last scene when you see something akin to tears from Margery shows that like Shana, she's finally becoming close to people she just met. Misaki City is amazing for Flame Hazes' emotions, yeah?
Episode 9's preview makes for another interesting episode. Poolside episode=fanservicey episode=possible showdown between Kazumi and Shana and hopefully, more story and character development, if that's ever possible.

Well, I was quite surprised that Eclipse's release was faster this time than FlameHaze's. They didn't go for the digital raws that they always use, since this time, it is the analogues that is better
Ep 8
Pretty nice fight. It didn't have much action as I expected though, but still a good fight. Well, it seems they take it slowly with the background, revealing only pieces of it. And in this case, they showed another bit of Margery's past.
But I see Marco in a new light though. He's quite possesive of his "goblet", and will go all out to protect her. Again, he was out of character in the final moments of it, saying "I'll rip you if you hurt her. To hell with the balance" or something like that. Heck even Margery too was out of character in that final scene, seeing now she has "a place to go back to"
On lighter notes though, quite amazing how they incorporated some "funny" moments between Shana and Sakai in the middle of the fight. Like when they about to go and deal the finishing blow, she blushed a bit, and Sakai said "Oh right... Well I will be hanging on..." Somehow that just makes me (Don't forget what comes after that... "Wait a... Isn't this... WHACK!!!)

That was the humorous moment alright, but there has to be a limit to how clueless Yuuji can be when he grabbed her like that.
Somehow, that elbow blow seemed to remind me of Kaname Chidori.
On Marco, he just redefined the phrase "Looks can be deceiving." One moment you think he's all playful and wisecracking, and here we see him murderous and overly protective. Quite a 3 dimensional character, even though he's not a human.
Regarding Rammie...
He's called the Spiral Organ, or the most powerful spellcaster in Guze. It would be weird why he did not have the powers to defend himself, but to each his own I guess. Even for some Tomogaras, they should have different capabilities and characteristics. I do hope we'll be seeing more of him again.
The time when he decided to 'leave them in the lurch' when the museum caved in, it was very interesting as well. It seemed as though he left Shana and Yuuji to escape, but in reality, I believe he was luring Margery away from them so that they could recover and fight Margery again.

Remember at the first encounter, Rammie was going to fight and being the #1 spell caster he could of probably killed them with his remaining power of existance. I assume he figured out that it would eat less power of existance to let Shana fight rather than having to repair inside the seal.
