Ahaha, yes yes. About that, I'm really obsessed with the Japanese "culture".
Their good AND bad, mind you. I'm totally aware of what has and is happening in Japan right now. I'm actually watching some of their shows, read some magazines about them, and even has an aunt who wants to take me there.
And when I say obsessed, I really mean I want to go there. I've planned to go there with the help of my aunt, that's why I'm studying Japanese language right now..
I love Japan. Not that I rebuke my home country, but I love what I love. I'm sorry if it offends you, or makes you feel that I have no patriotism whatsoever, but this is my dream~
I may relate sometime "why" I love Japan... but that's another story~ _________________ EX-mod

Well, no, it doesn't offend me, really...
But, being Asian, I find that people always seem to flock to Japan before looking at what the rest of Asia has to offer. They also seem to ignore their own culture as well.
Well, anyway. Speaking of trips, I'm heading to China for the summer --- hurrah. Good luck with yours, then.

my dad has a little problem with the Japanese obsession thing (he's old school chinese). He's not racist or anything just thinks my brother and i absolutely adore all that is Japanese just because we watch anime/read manga. I find Japan & Japanese culture interesting but im not obsessed. im pissed that the Japanese gov is still whitewashing ww2 history though. i even created a thread about it. my first thread ever . its buried beneath the shit pile that is the FFA forum.
rofl here we are complaining about asians neglecting their own background while people in Japan complain about the direction that new Japanese generations are taking...

i try to approach such things with a open mind, and i do too respect all races and cultures, but liking another culture other than their own doesnt mean we are neglecting our own.
try focus on the good things, suicide have nothing to do with what this topic was originally implied to.
by the way, your user name is in jap. _________________ "Look at me, with my pretty bracelet and tiara... I'm a fuckin' princess!"

Wonder what word I'll put in my next sig... could you give a suggestion??
kirei=pretty/beautiful
minikui=ugly
tanoshii=fun
kakkoii=cool/attractive
ongaku=music
tabe mono=food
unten=drive
terebii=television
kutsu=shoe
eiga-kan= movie theater
Wow, thanks! I really like requests. Cause I've made the sigs for people, not me. And what they want is what I'll give.
I think I'll use Kakoii or Tanoshii or Kirei next, after the Onegai sig. Those are simple words that people would likely encounter much often. Or just use in their everyday life.
Because it's the name of something. Good lord, I never said "don't use Japanese ever".
As a side note, it translates to "Cave Story", an awesome game you should look up sometime.
Alright, let's just forget the misunderstanding. Ever since you came here, you tried to pry me off my dream. You came here just to tell me japan is not good?? Or have you got any good Japanese words to suggest??
Cause if not, then you'd be spamming....
................... JOKE~!! Please don't be offended, I was just joking okay?? Okay?? Jodan yo! Just joking! Now calm yourself, breathe-in 3 times, and suggest a Japanese word. _________________ EX-mod
