| It really depends. What kind of thing does the person you are trying to hook onto anime like? If you figure that out, look for an anime that has the similar attributes and let him watch that. |

agree with [shiroinokaze] you have to know what the person like first before you give them an anime to watch. can't give a drama to a guy who likes brainless action. my friend who are not into anime still have ane anime they like.....but mostly action shows and usually it's g-gundam,dbz etc....the ones that air on cartoon network. _________________ The hardest person to forgive is yourself~ |

Well, I've tried to introduce my friends who don't really fancy anime, to watch Inuyasha, and they got addicted to it. |

depends, if the target are boys, I'll use the following:
FMA
GSeed/GSD
Bleach
FMP! Series
And of course ANY good ecchi anime, like HiMM, Shuffle! ... etc.
If it's girls, I'll probably add Saikano too. |

CHOBITS!!!! Or Love Hina..... Full Metal Panic is a great anime, but 1/2 of the series is dedicated to war/robots/battles... I don't think non-anime addicts would love that. Unless their military pips.
Ah! Megami~sama! is great too. It's a fantasy, comedy love story. But boys would probably prefer Slam Dunk or Yu Yu Hakushu... _________________ EX-mod |

Spirited Away - classic and got an Oscar - draws some people in
Hellsing - some don't like anime chicks (Chobits, Love Hina...), battles (aka Pokemon, DBall...), digging up in human's mind etc. Worked like charm
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal - a samurai movie (for men) OR love story (for women). |

Well, if it's manga you want you friends to get hooked on, try showing them Pretty Face or Lilim Kiss.
Pretty Face is a SURE bait. While Lilim Kiss is for those who have a short attention span. "Its just a 2 volume manga!" is what I told them. After a few minutes... no, seconds even.... "Gotcha~!" or "I told you so!"

i showed a couple of freinds neon genesis and hellsing, that got them hooked. but as mentioned above it all depends on the target persons likes and dislikes. _________________ [img:350:100:b9d927e767]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/tehalbino/gaara2.png[/img:b9d927e767] |

My mother, who hates anything that isn't real action, really liked Millienium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, and Spirited Away so I recommend those to anyone whether they like anime or not.
For action fans, I say Spriggan, Ninja Scroll, Read or Die, or Samurai Champloo.
For comedy fans, I say Azumanga Daioh, and that covers that.
For drama, I recommend a bunch of movies because anime doesn't do drama that well as a TV series. |

| Ninja scroll or any anime that is english dubbed, most ppli know that are not into anime, cant be bothered reaing subtitles so i guess giving them anything dubbed would seem easier. |
