the one that hooked me was Battle Athletes OAV
(ive cursed the moment ever since)
the one i use (and it does work) is Full Metal Panic.
i made this one girl sit down and watch it because she was always trashing anime, and she couldn't get enough of it. she thought sgt sagara was hot and she liked how kanomi could turn into a total butch at the drop of a hand grenade. |

| for those who only watch dubs, it would be have to be Naruto. but for those who watch subs, it's Bleach. |

Some mainstream ones would be good for action. FMA, Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, and stuff with a lot of fighting. Actually, just let them watch the ones on Cartoon Network if they want action.
Comedy is definitely Azumanga Daioh. Love Hina could probably work as well. _________________ [IMG:400:300:d8522f0b38]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/arcrode/normal_77400adf05.jpg[/img:d8522f0b38]

| Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, Bleach, Naruto. Most mainstream animes really get ppl hooked, but the more you watch of them the more corny they get. i am more of a manga person. anime streches things out too much and in turn make them kind of corny. |

Gundam Seed n FMP for guys; GS has a very good storyline (with a start that gets ppl curious about d story, FOCUS->Friendship) and by far the most believable gundams in its series. Though I must say for anyone older than 18yrs that dont watch anime have this mental block "Watching anime is for kids" and will be very difficult to get them hooked. And to really appreciate them need to watch the entire show.
Suzuka for girls, quite realistic in comparison to others in its genre. Will definitely hook those in the 13-18yr old range but older gals would probably stick to real-world dramas and such..but perhaps take anime as for light relaxation. Care to reply to this? |

I did use some anime to get some of my friends into it.
I used Inuyasha, Gundam Wing and Naruto. |
