What anime would you use to hook other non anime addicts?

FMP actually hooked my friends into the anime world....
Hellsing too but i don't think other animes that i got did that well....

Naruto works perfectly, I have some friends who don’t like anime that much but they love naruto, and now they are starting to ask me for other animes.

In my experience, Kenshin captures just about everyone.
Howl's Moving Castle, Azumana Daio, Princess Tutu, and Noir are all good too depending on the audience.

The best way to introduce people who never watch ot know anime, I think, is to let them watch movie-anime. It was shorter, and usually have better graphics and more focused story. Let them see Miyazaki's movies for common people, who like movies as pleasure and relaxing activity. As to more serious people who watch movies for their reference, give them Oshii's movies.

Introducing anime for people who knew anime but never be able to try watching them (coz they didn't have time, and it was probably a waste of time to pick any anime just to try), is more tricky. I think anime such as Kenshin series will do the work, coz it have all genres in one mixing features, action, intrique-politic, comedy, drama and romance.

haha i love showing people naruto, bleach, tenjou tenge, and all that new nice looking anime. then when i show them hajime no ippo they're like "wtf is this crap?" and im like lol just keep watching. then i start telling them to stfu becuz they got owned the fu*k out becuz even tho it has bad animation doesn't mean it makes the series bad and i slap them....

no really i told them "i told you its good" and when they're going to see a good ass fight im like "o wait you said this sucked let me change it" then they beg and pay me....yea....its possible....

and becuz of that they also get into manga which before they were like "that's gay" or "why are you reading a comic without any colors?" and then they understand....for most people that don't like manga at first and get into it later is becuz they either A: see berserk or B: see hajime no ippo

I would try and find the funniest anime I have ever watched and show it to them. I would choose something like Steel Angel Kurumi 2 or 2x2= Shinobuden.

i would use samurai x (not rurouni kenshin) the ova trust or samurai champloo my friends seemed to like that.
