Gaaras power

i think shushaku is just an embodiment of Gaara. Like it shares a body with him, just like Kyuubi and Naruto. Naruto can do rasengan on its own without the "red chakra"

i think shukaku has alot to do with his power but shukaku doesnt preform the jutsus, gaara does, with his own power, the sand is merely a tool in jutsu.

It's all Gaara's own strength. The only thing Shukaku gave him is automatic shielding defense and summon him. Desert Coffin, Desert this, Desert that... that's all of Gaara's move with his own limited Chakara. Heck. Shukaku doesn't even give chakara to him like how kyubii to Naruto.

Remember, he doesn't really need to worry about defense since the sand is doing it automatically. So he doesn't have to waste time or chakara on it and just focus on offense.

Shukaku never gave him power to control sand but be able to control a lot of it. When the demon was removed and naruto was leaving gaara stuck out his hand but naruto knew gaara doenst really do that so he just looked at him and turned around gaara used the sand to pull narutos hand to shake it.
So he can still use his sand powers.

I think most of gaara's power is his own power.sabaku kyuu and sabaku sousou(gaara's deadliest technique)are controlled by gaara himself.

think gaara is powerful because of Shukaku and without Shukaku garra is not as scary or as powerful.

Well it isn't entirely one or the other really. They coincide and kick butt for a common purpose: survival. But I do think that Gaara is a bit too arrogant in thinking that the sand can't be beaten, as we have seen on several occasions that this is possible.

As previously mentioned, i believe Gaara is a skilled shinobi on his own, however his power would greatly diminish if he lost shukaku because the chakra provided him enhances the power of his ability. Without it he would have his powers, but i believe it would limit him the way Chidori limits Sasuke.
