Its all about the company. if its J company getting korean animators to do thier work then its still japanes.
its like american buisnesses that have companies in other country: theyed employ loads of foreign workers, but product would still be american.
Hope you understand crappy example.
Plus anime influenced cartoons arn't all that bad (samourai jack is decent)
I belive what Bowser is saying is probably the most correct, Anime will probably grow in popularity but i doubt other countries will be able to take it away from Japan, although if anime becomes BIG worldwide, i belive the need for fansubs will probably decrease as well.

I was never aware that manga was only made in Japan in the first place, but from different parts of Asia. You mention Korea but not china or any other countries. The whole thing with mange doesn't seem any different to me than with American commics. There are some manga with a more american adaption of drawing or even a 3D or realistic type drawing. I don't particulary like some author's drawing style, so I don't care where it comes from, just the end result.
Well you are correct, manga is just a comic like anyother, a Superman comic in Japan would still be called manga. Its just that westerners use the word manga to describe spessificaly japanese comics because comics are treated differently in both regions. Comics in west are usualy seen as children stuff but manga is for all ages and this is coming true in the west too, so its just to set this and the style apart that jap comics are known only as manga, korean as manwha, chinese as manha (i think), etc, etc....
It will always be Japanese. Anime IS Japanese, even though there are related styles done by other cultures, they're not considered anime. I don't care very much, though, I just care about how it turns out.
Yeah Korean companies are starting to come in and create a niche in anime and manga. Common features of Korean manga/anime is the romanticizing pfgangs. Whats with that?!? They make being in a gang so cool and romantic. its kinda weird. However anime thats done by korean companies but originally formulated in japan is cool. Alot of korean companies are responsive for the hit anime series we see currently, and i think thats cool. I also see a new movement in comics that resemble more and more the "big eyes" and other common features that define anime in english artists. I go to comic con every year and i see a varied display of artwork and comics. I believe other countries will attempt an anime style theme. However without Japans rich culture and symbolic background it may end up failing. That is why im 50/50 with harmony gold attempting a sequel of the beloved series Robotech. However i will give it a chance, and check it out. =).
