the storyline for this series is incredibly well done. the author is a very good storyteller, his monster series was awesome as well. the art is beautiful to look at... i have only praise for this series.

Ia!! I can't praise this enough!
Most goodness has already been said, but has anyone else noticed a hint of John Byrne in the art?

The suspense building in this and previous work is incredible (Monster) and even this leads me to wonder, hows it all going to end, twist and turn at every corner. im glad kenji is alive to tell the truth i was dissapointed when he died, it was so sudden and very open ended so i had guess but after so many volumes i got worried hehe , cant wait for 18

When i saw the ending for volume 17, i cried both of saddness since i couldn't read anymore ahead, and of happyness knowing Kenji is alive. I hope in the upcoming Volume 18 it shows how he survived, i'm also wondering how Kanna and the rest are going to know of him. Say when is Volume 18 going to be released?

Yes, 20th Century Boys is pretty addicting.....I got this one a while ago and caught up and d/l the whole series all in one day....I thought maybe it would be okay to read it since it was already in Volume 17 but I was wrong....... T_T now we all can't wait for 18 and I'll be glad when it finally comes =]

Well, here is to the "return" of a certain person ^.^v

that's what i'm experienceing right now, a great deal of confusion and boredom... though i do want to ask; do the first 2 chapters or so make sense now that you've stayed with it until vol. 17?

if they DO make sense now when they hadn't before, then i'm going to go a head and keep with it Smile

It's really not that hard to follow. I think it's really a taste sort of thing if you find it hard to follow. If you can watch FLCL and be entertained you shouldn't have a problem with this. Or Stray Bullets if you keep up with western comics.
Is this the same mangaka as Revenge of Mouflon?

Can anyone else clarify whether or not 20th Century boy has been licensed by VIZ??? it's really makes me made how they are simply taking away all the good manga's..especially in the middle of the series...it says it's been licensed on Manganews.net..but when i went to the VIZ website..i couldn't find it anywhere

20th Century Boys is probably licensed by Viz. We won't remove or add any chapters until they officially announce the licensing in a press release or news post.

I suggest you go download the BT files before they get removed:

I heard that the translator of Mangascreener is the same people who also translate manga at VIZ. So the chance that this series to be continued is slim. Well, at least we all already know who "Friend" is. We just didn't understand why is he still alive after been dead about 2 or 3 times.
