| Everytime the Hell Girl "moves in for the kill" the person always denies wrong doing. I wonder what will happen when someone finally acknowledges being guilty. |

More importantly, I wonder what happens to a person who wants revenge on another person but the vengeance is unjustified. When the latter denies of any wrongdoing, what's Hell Girl going to do? |

Woo! go Jigoku Shoujo! My guess is that all the different scenarios for recenge are going to become almost a side-story in order to develop Jigoku Shoujo herself and stuff. As Tevesh adn ZGMF-00X said, those, if they happen, will likely prove to be interesting.
Lastly, I would like to say I loved the opening theme. it was jsut really soothing and slightly eccentric (for lack of a better term). ED was also good but OP was awesome |

I found the OP strange although it was good... since it doesnt go with what the story holds for us. But the music and the sequence goes well though
ESPECIALLY the scene which has Ai with cherries in her mouth, that one is hawt in me eyes... and hot = win, so Enma Ai = WIN!!! (yes, that loli defeats even Shana ) _________________ ... |

From the picture i thought it would be a scary anime.
I had prepared my heart that it would be like a thriller anime.
But it turns out to be not so scary..
But worth to watch..
I don't hate it at all.. _________________ StePhanie |

I won't say defeat, but yeah, its definitely what one might call a 'loli', at least cute enough to set the sensors of kawaiiness going. What's it with the anime now and the younger girls shown in it? |

I will blame the eyes in this one. Hauntingly beautiful, very enchanting, just trapped your souls in her gaze
But episodic as it is, I don't think it will be better than Mushishi though, which is another episodic anime. Then again, I need more episodes though to truly say which is better _________________ ... |

Enchanting, and scary at times if some people look at it in another way. Still, I find her rather mysterious and attractive in episode one so far.
You're right about needing to watch more before judging the series. I do believe that it is off to a definite promising start. |

Does anyone know if Ayu dropped the series? I know that episode 9 just aired today, but there hasn't been word from anyone on episode 3 onward. I'm hoping they just put it off. It would be a shame if nobody subbed this show.
On another note, I was hooked on episode one. It seemed more eery than scary to me. And frankly, I'm tired of the animes that seem to be cookie-cutter. This series definitely gets an A for originality. |

episode 3
Weak episode. Somehow I didn't feel even the slightest of pity to Iwashita. I mean, there is a limit on how far a promise can go. He doesn't have enough spine to say the truth. Him runnning away from the policemen are also an act of cowardice.
And also the revenge was also weak. Didn't have the spectucular in it, like the first two episode. But on other sidenote, Ai seems reluctant to go out and take revenge? Or is it just wordplay from the Obaa-chan?

Episode 3 was just a repeat of the first two episodes. In fact, three episodes in a row in which the person wishing for revenge after being 'cornered' is getting old. The next episode seems to be a little...different, and I really want to see an episode where there is a possibility that Ai does not accept the request. If not, the series will really fall straight to Hell itself if it keeps playing out the same kind of scenarios... |

Well it is actually shown in ep 5
that they also can reject requests. seems like they too got some moral values to uphold and not blatantly accepting requests. Them going down to Earth and investigating really O.O'ed me somewhat

Another thing that struck me is that
How they cope with the fact that they will be going to hell. In ep 6, the young lass really seems like she's regretting the fact that she had pulled the string. In total contrast to that gal from ep 5, when she remembers her boss' words, and decide "to play the game" and "have fun" before she dies and have to suffer.
Also in ep 4, that young gal also somewhat regretted she couldn't see her mum and dad in heaven, but tried to make the best for the rest of her life

It all depends, doesn't it? The way they react when they know they are going down There is also dependent on how they look at life and their own different personalities. The first two episodes didn't show much of a difference, but the third one did, I think... |
