they are taking it one step at a time... taking it slowly while offering something different in the story-telling style. The recipe is still the same though.

but... episode 17

Did I say episode 12 was freaky? or is it episode 15? episode 17 upped it a bit.

This time, no one got sent to hell. Well, the girl that made the request, was no... ordinary girl. This time, Hajime and Tsugumi almost got killed in the process of uncovering, and trying to make someone change their mind. And it was Hone Onna and Moku who had to use their powers to save them. And Ai herself have to intervene in the final struggle...

Well, it is creepy, in other factors

Mista, is there any special plot by 17 or is it a different situation in each episode? I dunno if i'll keep watching if there really isnt a plot to the series.

Okay call me anal butt I really like watching the episodes in order so I have refused to go with Jelly which has jumped well ahead of every one else. The last ep I have is 9 though and I've been waiting faithfully for 10 etc. but not seeing them in a while. I'm really starting to miss them but still don't want to skip ahead.

Yeah I only have a few dls I keep track of and Jigoku Shoujo is one of them. The only one that's had slower advancement is Blood+ and that was licinced by Sony so I'll probably have a Blood+ marathon and then kick it off my harddrive.

Meanwhile I'm still going to be looking for Shinsen Subs to be keeping up the good work.

well Jelly is not much of a good subber, so I wouldn't recommending it to you. But I watched the raws before, even though I don't understand one bit of it (that's what anime blogs are for Razz

Well, let's hope Shinsen start churning out those subs fast... or Ayu... I'll just watch whoever is fastest first

Episode 18

Ill warn any animal lovers here...beware of this ep. It starts out with a girl who is indebted to a woman who inherited her parents property. Beleive me this woman is no prize either, ugly as sin. Anyhow the girls parents beleive that she is going to this persons house after school because she is a tutor but this woman is really using her to make her food and clean for her, aka a slave! What happened was the girl was walking her 2 dogs, yuki and pinki when they got away from her and ran into the womans garden and bit her. BECAUSE they did that she held the dogs hostage in small pet carriers and always threatened to kill them if the girl ever told anyone what was really happening there.

As the story progresses the woman DOES kill a dog and by the looks of it its thru poisoning because the dog is "leaking" green fluid. 1 dog down.

Later on the woman suspects that the girl is telling people the truth because she sees the reporter hanging around the house looking for the girl who called Jigoku. That nite the girl goes to the womans house and finds out that her lil dog was pregnant....notice I said WAS. When she comes back the day after that the woman has killed the 2nd dog and is still threatening to kill the puppies though the girl has leverage too, she called Jigoku...anyhow her teacher and a police man are at the womans gate and she instantly suspects that she ratted the woman out for treating her like crap, she runs for the puppies to kill them next. and the reporter helps the police into her back yard where she is fussing about them being on her precious property. Words get exhanged and then she accidently kicks up some dirt from her garden and everyone standing there freaks out....under her precious flowers is a skeleton of a child. Her child. Anyhow the police take her away and the girl is left holding the jackstraw with the reporter telling her she doesnt need it anymore...suddenly she remembers the puppies and runs to the back yard to see a small kiddie pool with water in it and her new puppies floating in the water. She pulls the string. In the police car the woman is in they start in on the taunting like they always do and it turns out that the woman didnt want ANYONE to inherit her property, including her own child. She EVEN killed her parents to get it!!! The whole time she regrets not pulling it sooner or none of her dogs would have been killed.

So the woman gets carted off to hell and jigoku asks her if she knows what she looks like, the woman looks in the water and sees something that looks like a demon, im assuming the demon of greed.

Im sure Mistabean will do a better job of summerizing it then me...im bad for names ha ha ha!

Well other than the main protagonists, I can't grasp the name of the side characters much... Though now

Almost had it Hajime, you almost had it... Just like one of the previous episode... 16 is I am not mistaken.

But it's kinda disturbing on how TSUGUMI doing the "prep talk" to that girl, rather than Ai. Well Ai's doing it, but Tsugumi was channeling her, AND all was done through her eyes...

That's what I like about this one... different styles of story-telling everytime

Just wanted to drop a note to the folks at Shinsen Subs (if you guys come here) Thanks for keeping up the good work. I'm downloading ep. 10 now. In my book you guys rock. Keep up the good work.

I think I read in an anime magazine that this show is going to be twenty six episodes, which is kind of disappointing. It doesn't leave much leeway for a plot since I just finished watching episode 19.

I hope I'm wrong about the length of this series, because there's so much more they could have done with it. In the episode I got done with, once again Tsugimi and Hajime try to stop someone from pulling that stupid string and they just go ahead and pull it anyways because they're obviously suffering so much at that moment that they can put up with Hell for all eternity.

Hajime San and Tsugimi are failures at their jobs.

My ideas for this series: Have some more MAIN characters. Maybe have one of them struggling with something so they are confronted with a straw doll.

Or maybe even do something like what they did in episode (I think it was seventeen) and have something other than a human being try to contact the jigoku shoujo.

I don't know. Maybe it will get better. I'm still hoping. I probably won't invest in this when it gets licensed though.
