Action, Comedy, Possibly drama??
Ongoing - currently 11 eps
A legendary and ruthless assassin nicknamed Black Cat (a.k.a. XIII, Train Heartnet), works for an underground organization known as Chronos. They're a group of powerful fighters with a special unit of assassins known as Numbers (hence the "XIII"). His partner, Creed Diskenth, has become the leader of a new force that is powerful enough to oppose Chronos.
One day, Black Cat meets a mysterious girl named Saya and his life is turned around. Along with a pov "gentleman" named Sven, a young girl called Eve and a hot chick called Rins, Black Cat sets out on a journey to stop his ex-partner.
Why i liked it - Black Cat is a good action-packed anime with several hilarious scenes. The animation is superbly done too (i think it can rival samurai champloo).
Number of Episodes: 13 (First Season) + 13 (Second Season) = 26 total
Explanation: This anime is in the far future where males are going against females. There is literally a war going on between the 2 genders. This anime's setting is in outer space and it revolves a boy (Hibiki Tokai) who gets caught by the females along with some crew members. There are some funny jokes in this one and some interesting scenes as well.
Why I liked it: I'm a fan of mecha type anime because I'm interested in technology as well. This anime had some unique humor in it and I found this anime quite pleasing. I guess this anime is good because it has a little bit of everything.
Name: 2x2 = Shinobuden (Ninja Nonsense)
Genre: Comedy
Number of Episodes: 12
Explanation: This anime is about a young girl (Shinobu) who wishes to become a excellent ninja. The young girl is accompanied by a servant (Onsokumaru), who she thinks is a hawk (really is some weird yellow ball with wings that can transform into a humanoid shape), as she goes around doing her daily activities.
Why I liked it: A lot of random humor in this, it's good to watch this to get rid of some stress and see some wacky thought up ideas that people have.
G-Gundam-lincensed-martial arts mecha/love romance
This series is about big robots who fight each other so that they can win the right to basically rule over all of space untill the next gundame fight atleast. The main character is guy named domon kashu. He is the pilot of the gundam representing neo-japan. By the way all of the countries have neo before thier name. Anyway this being a show from japan the japanese gundam wins all of his bouts with great ease for some and difficulty for others. Anyway this anime is probably suited to people who are into all the drama of martial arts. also like to see a bit of robot action in thier shows.

Yakitate! JaPan - Anime & Manga unlicensed - Cooking, Comedy - Literally meaning 'Fresh-Baked Japan', I cannot tell you how much I love this anime! Well.. I can, and that is why i am suggesting it! This is about Azuma Kazuma, who was born with a special gift that makes his hands warmer than most, making them ideal to bake bread. These are called 'Solar Hands' and are a rare gift. His quest? To make the ultimate bread that the world can associate with Japan, much like the croissant is associated with France and so forth. If it was just about baking, though, it would be a bit bland. Instead, this anime is jam packed with comedy, both from the insane reactions to the Japanese puns and humor. Luckily, fansubbers explain these reactions. This is one anime that definitely will not be translated into english because of its heavy usage of puns. (At least.. we hope)
Beet the Vandal Buster - Manga licensed, Anime unlicensed - Shounen, Action, Fantasy, Adventure - Beet the Vandal Buster is a great anime for those who enjoy fantasy-themes. Following the Shounen trend of having close friends who help follow your dream, or 'Nakama' as it is heavily used in One Piece, this anime focuses on, of course, Beet, a young man who has a unique ability of staying awake for 3 days straight, and sleeping straight through a fourth one as well as summining one of five different Saiga, where other Busters only ever have one. Set in a world where demonic beings, known as Vandals, are terrorizing humanity during a time caleld the Dark Age. Because of this, a small group of human beings called Busters go about, slaying monsters and vandals for their own reasons. Their main weapons, which they use against these powerful beings, are called Saiga, and are formed from each individual's magical energy. Many Busters are greedy, and have their own reasons for becomming Busters, be it the bounties placed on killing the creatures or just for the power. Beet, though, fights to bring an end to the Dark Age, along with his companions and end up doing impossible feats (as is usual for Shounen Comics like this). For those who love RPGs, this is the anime for you! I love this one because it revolves around a heavy RPG theme, where the characters can go around, fighting monsters, mid-bosses and main bosses, then go to a certain place to 'Level Up'. Obviously, the higher your level marks how great your strength is. The Vandals have a similar method of leveling up, but I'll leave the rest for you all to find out when you watch this ^^
MAR (Marchen Awakens Romance) - Manga licensed, Anime unlicensed - Shounen, Action, Comedy, Fantasy - Marchen is germen for Fairy Tales, just to get that out of the way. Hmm.. what to say about MAR... i know! It's Great! next anime... just kidding! MAR is based on a boy, Ginta, whose father mysteriously vanished when he was much younger, and whose mother writes fairy tales. He is uncoordinated, lacking in energy, nearsighted, and weak. His favorite hobbies are playing RPGs and sleeping, so he can dream of another world called MAR Heaven. One day, he gets the chance to travel to MAR Heaven, where he finds himself faster, stronger, more energetic... and able to see perfectly! He ends up finding a talking magical object, or ARM, called Bappo (Or Babbo, depending on who is translating) who has no recollection of his past and is shaped like a giant kendama. Together, Ginta and Bappo, along with the allies they make along the way, find out the secret behind Bappo's past, the evil that looms over MAR Heaven... and the disappearance of Ginta's father. I personally love this for the fantasy themes. It's quite funny and shows that Geeks really shall inherit the Earth! No.. wait... it shows that Dreams really do come true! Just gotta watch out about the little details when they do ^^
Kaleido Star - licensed - Shoujo, Life, Drama, Sports? - Before anyoen says ANYTHING... this is NOT just for girl^^ Course.. if there were an iron clad Shoujo is only for girls rule, then many fanboys have broken that with Magical Girl series. Kaleido Star (and its second season, Kaleido Star, New Wings) follow the life and times of Juniper Lee... I mean Sora Naegino, A Japanese girl who travels to America to try an join the Kaleido Stage, a famous circus-like show that is renown for its acrobatics and various shows based on popular stories, such as Alice in Wonderland, Romeo and Juliet... and even Saiyuki! All her life she has dreamed on performing on the Stage, and through various twists and turns and near misses, she finds herself slowly becomming a key player in the very stage she loves. Throughout her career, fortune-telling spirit named Fool, whom only those who are destined to become the Kaleido Star can see, slowly coaches her throughout her ideals until finally.. she will be able to perform the Ultimate Maneuver. But even after such a technique, her adventures on Kaleido Stage are far from over... This series is absolutely marvelous, and keep you wanting to see more! My only gripe is they never show us an entire Kaleido Stage production from beginning to end >.< Let us hope. On a side not... this anime is better watched subtitled!
One Piece - licensed - Shounen, Comedy, Action, Adventure, PIRATES! - He said no Naruto, he said nothing of no One Piece. The ever popular series with the ever unpopular 4Kids dub... but don't let that stop you from trying to find it in Japanese someplace! The story of Monkey D. Luffy and his quest to gather a pirate crew and find One Piece, the greatest treasure of them all is woderful, heartwarming, and if worse comes to worse.. better read through manga. The comedic storyline, the miasadventures, the grand battles... and the memorable characters all make this a definite go for picking up in some way shape or form that doesn't involve 4Kids... can you tell I don't like them much?
Anyway, that is all from this bird ^^ I hope my suggestions have you all ready to try these out! And if my short descriptions leave something to be desired.. well.. appologies ^^ Be well all!
Takumi Fujiwara is the son of the owner of a local tofu shop. At night, Fujiwara gets in his souped up AE86 Sprinter Trueno (AE86 Corolla GT(DOHC)) and races on the seldom-used Japanese mountain roads. One night, the Akagi Red Suns team, a racing club, challenges the Akina Speed Stars to a race on the mountain where Fujiwara lives. Keisuke, one of the leaders of the Red Suns, races his legendary Mazda RX-7 - only to be beaten by the mysterious Fujiwara.
The hero meets new formidable foes. Though they were vanquished in previous races, they have come back in great form. They combat in unfamiliar terrain, the hero has to apply the prowess he learned from his father to overcome his opponents.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Takumi is approached by RedSuns leader Ryosuke Takahashi and offered to join him in forming a professional racing team. Before coming up with an answer to the proposal, Takumi seeks retribution by issuing a rematch to Emperor leader Kyouichi Sudou, who previously defeated him due to an engine failure. He is also challenged by Kai Kogashiwa, a second-generation street racer whose father was once a fierce rival of Takumi`s father Bunta.
Takumi Fujiwara and brothers Keisuke and Ryousuke Takahashi have formed "Project D", a racing team aimed at bringing their driving skills to their full potential outside their prefecture. Using the internet, Project D issues challenges to other racing teams and posts results of their races. Among their rivals are the Seven-Star Leaf (SSR) and Todo-juku. Joining in the fun is Takumi`s father Bunta, who breaks out of retirement with his Subaru Impreza WRX Type R Version V.
Why I like it: Really cool action car, All time action and each episode are a begin for the next one.
Taira Kappeita, or Capeta, was a 4th grader boy. He had lost his mother when he had been very little. Although he pretended to be tough in front of his father, actually he felt lonely. One day, his father brought junk parts home from his workplace and made a racing cart. Soon, they went to a circuit to drive the cart. However, Capeta found that its frame was bent and it could hardly run straight. But, with his technique he managed the cart. Furthermore, he followed soon after the fast cart and he could nearly leave it behind. The driver in the cart was Minamoto Naomoi, the champion of the East Japan Junior Cart. Looking at their chase, Naomi’s mother, Minamoto Nanako, advised Capeta to take part in the official race.
Check it an I know you really be in love with Capeta. Also much more action then you can think with a go-kart.

Alright Boys and Girls, admins and moderators, Real life people and Animé people etc.
Here I will post my personal list of Romance/Comedy. The Genre that's ripped my heart out and pasted it on the screen.
I'll NOTwrite any other post here, thus merely editing this one to reduce the spam amount and let more share their thoughs and reflexts on those with less than on page "3245" where no one ever will come looking at those by page "2156". Cheers.
I'll start off with the one I watch some days ago.
Studio : Studio Comet
Length : 26 Episodes
Year : 2005
Genre : Comedy - Drama - Romance - Life - Sports
Why do I recommend this one?
Oh yes I still think about the opening tune "Start line! lalala" ya, on my MP3 forever. To start off I always like music, music and animé is like cake and taste. Well, A good intro tune kinda makes 95% of the series in my opinion, but here I'm just going to recommend might write a full review at the Suzuka page later, but just had to mention the music.
I love this kind of animé and Suzuka, took a grip on my heart instanttly, I laughed with them, cried togheter with them, got pissed at them, etc.
Couldn't really get it off my mind, can't still, so I recommend this from the depts of my heart as an experienced Romance/Comedy fan.
Animation is high class and the music is always there when you need it.
Plot: It's about a boy named Yomoto Akitsuke (I think I might have spelled it wrong.) whom goes to start a new life at Tokyo, he moves there with the hope of something in his life changeing.
There he happends to see a girl named Suzuka Asahina whom is an athleté of the Track 'n Field team. He instantly falls in love and... the rest is for you to see.
Studio : Telecom Animation Film
Also involved: Starchild
Length : 13 Episodes
Year : 2004
Genre : Comedy - Harem - Romance
Why do I recommend this one then?
Well to put it in one way, it's so random that it's actually fun to watch, but I felt abit like it was first one genre then simply put it to another one.
The music in this one is really really really great, makes every scen alot better, the animation is alright and the fact that there are 6 couple of twins makes it alot more hilarious. I got three words that never will leave my mind, Goat, Fan Club and Butler. Enough said, if you want to kill time or get a good laugh watch this one, it's not that much Romance, more like one or two episodes really got the romance in them in my opinion, more fun than romantic.
Plot: Well they describe it quite good over at the link but I can put a shorter and my own synopsis here.
It's about Nozomu Futami whom comes back to his hometown after several years to start school there once again.
When he comes to his cousnins (I think) home he get the knowledge of a story about a pair of twins who became birds due to a tragic story.
Afterwards he seems to be meeting twins everywhere...
Title: Crest of the Stars (continued with Banner of the Stars I/II/III aka Seikai no Senki I/II/III)
Episodes: 13 (continued by 13, 10 and 2)
Genre: Action, Romance, Sci-fi
Synopsis (from anime-source) :
The Humankind Empire Abh spans tens of thousands of planets. The Abh have done extensive genetic engineering, characterized by their blue hair, their extended longetivity and youthful elven appearance. Jinto Lin is the son of the leader of the planet Martine, when the humankind of Abh appears with their fleet to take over the planet, his father surrenders without a fight, but in exchange he gains a royal title in the Abh empire.A few years later, Jinto is to join the Star Forces for mandatory military service. There he meets Lafiel, one of the Abh royal family. When the both of them are shot down during a patrol flight, they strand on a planet controlled by the enemy. They have to work together in order to survive in this hostile territory.
My comments (on the whole series, not only COTS):
This series has some of the more realistic characters I have seen in anime. They actually do and say stuff that pretty much anyone might do. Granted, the Abh are slightly odd, but not too much when you consider that they are really genetically modified space-dwellers. The depth of the characters is probably what hooked me. The pace in the series is quite slow, which gives lots of time for character development.
There is some action too, but even though the fights are often quite long, this is not due to the fact that they are drawn out (Gundam Seed, Naruto and so on) but more because they do the fights in real time. For once its also nice to see a series where the protagonists are not totally overpowered.
The drama/romance in this series is almost perfectly balanced. It is seamlessly mixed in with the story and action in such a way that it feels completely realistic. No drawn out tear-fests or over-sweet eye-gazing, just the normal actions of a guy who slowly understands that he is probably falling in love.
All in all, this series was pure entertainment. WhenIi first read the reviews on it I seriously doubted I would like it since I mostly prefer action-oriented anime, but after one or two eps I was completely hooked.[/b]

Comments
In my opinion, this is the best fantasy anime I've ever seen. The story line is the greatest strongpoint, but not the only one this anime retains. The drawings are exceptional and the musical scores are a perfect match for the tone of this anime. When I read the synopsis of the anime I was a bit skeptical, but just the first episode of this anime had drawn me into the world. Also the more you watched, the more attached you become to this series. I highly recommend this anime, especially for those who are looking for one with a unique and excellent story.
Synopsis: This is the story of a boy called Senas, who is gifted with the ability to run very fast. He was then "ask" to join his school's american football club as a running back, from then on, his adventure starts.
Why recommend?
This is one of the best original ideas there is around all of the sports anime. Its blend of humour and action is very nice. The graphics is also nice done. cannot recommend enough of this anime.
The Melachony of Suzumiya Haruhi
Number of episodes: 14
Genre: comedy, sci-fi.
Synopsis: a girl named Suzumiya Haruhi is not what she seems to be. strange and funny things happends around her without her even knowing it.
Why recommend?
To watch this anime is to be drawn into the world of absolute comedy where impossible things happend. There had never been anime like this one, a very good original ideas. The animation is very good, the character is deep and the music is niceeeeee.
just a word of caution that the first episode might be a little strange at first, but don't be deterred, this is a good anime.
The story is about Haruka when she was 12 years old. After a series of unusual happenings, she learns that infinite number of other timespaces exists, due to infinite number of choices. And the Haruka in this timespace met when Karasu, which is a childhood friend of her, Yuu, 15 years from another timespace.
Haruka learns about the war between the Lacrema timespace and the Shangri'la timespace, and also the power she holds that could affect everything from now and the furture.
This is a very wonderul love story between the characters from the furture and present, in a science-fiction setting. The story tells of the girl's friends and family, and how they relates to her in the infinite possibilities of furture, and what she can and would do with the power she holds that affect timespaces.
Main reasons of why I liked it:
-A touching, quite unforgettable romance.
-VERY unique, and exciting fighting scences.
-Wonderful graphics.
You will like this if you liked:
Shakugan no SHANA
Why I recommend: Simple, if you enjoy golden boy but with lower pervertness then this is your show. Does not waste anyone's times because all the episodes are non-fillers. It has a great mix of action and comedy. There is some drama in the mix as well. Animation great and voice actors are great as well. It will explore a guys dream of becoming a teacher and later on being introduce to a class which all of them has personality that are unique. Trust me that the ending will not let you feel bad but actual good warm fuzzy feeling.
Top ten recommendations for anime which I think are suitable for everyone (not my favorite anime). When you recommend something you have to be objective; everyone has got different tastes :)
1) Rose of Versailles(1979 - Historical/Drama/Romance): an ingenious masterpiece of a historical-related fiction. A story of a turbulent time and its effects on people. A love story about tragic devotions and discovering the things which are truly in one's hearts before it's almost too late.
2) Gundam Seed(2002 - Mecha/War/Drama): an engaging drama about people in the war era: their perspectives and reactions toward the harsh circumstances which they must face.
3) Monster(2004 - Thriller): an outstanding story about humanity and their highs and lows. Monster tests its characters' morals and virtues through many merciless events. Raising them to the highest point of their lives before tearing their futures, careers, and reputations apart. Would those people still be able to retain their moralistic perspectives through their difficult times, or will they hate the whole world for their misfortunes and allow their 'inner monsters' to take control of them?
4) Whisper of the Heart(1995 - Slice of Life): an inspiration story about career goals, determination, aspirations, and self-discovery. One of Studio Ghibli's most underappreciated gem.
5) Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal(1999 - Action/Romance): an excellent story about ideology, realization of one's limitation in his profession, loss, revenge, love, forgiveness, and sacrifice.
6) Kino's Journey(2003 - Slice of Life): blending the philosophy of human nature with the traditions and idiosyncrasies of each countries, Kino's Journey is probably the most unique and most intelligent anime I have seen in some time.
7) Fruits Basket(2001 - Drama): a sad tale about being different. A heart warming drama which teaches its viewers to appreciate people from their internal rather than the external qualities.
8) Now and Then, Here and There(1999: War/Drama): a story which transported its viewers to the world of absolute monarchy: the place where the king's order is absolute, and the world where the king can do no wrong. A heart-breaking tale about a ruthless ruler with a never ending desire for power and the consequences of his actions to the innocent people.
9) Berserk(1997: Action/Fantasy): a story about realizing and chasing one's own dreams. A story about pride and how one creates a path of his own. Despite its inconclusive ending, Berserk is still one of the best unfinished anime ever produced.
10) The Place Promised in Our Early Days(2004: Drama): The Place Promised in Our Early Days is about friendship: the bond which will not break no matter how long time has passed. A touching story about how true friends will go an extra distance to help their beloved ones once they are in need without expecting anything in return. _________________ [IMG:205:157:4263622574]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/charn/suzumiya-ep04-02.gif[/img:4263622574]
