General Radiohead thread. Post anything relevant to the band and their music.

Just began listening to Radiohead again yesterday after a long time away from them. Im still a bit of a listener so im only familiar with OK Computer, The Bends and some of Kid A.
Their music can be really ambitious and their lyrics obscure (not cloudy but seemingly abstract) at times. I think i found it difficult to accept the music the first few times i listened. I appreciated it, but didnt take it in, if you know what i mean. Their music is powerfully beautiful but a little...formidable/unknowable/depressing?
im almost wishing for a bout of alienated, pissed off, self destructive adolescence so i can be sad and listen to Radiohead lol.

i just hope this thread doesnt collapse like my Blackadder thread... Rolling Eyes

Yes, quosimos, I do. I don't have their albums because I've always had little money for cd's (my "collection" is small), and I always got something else. But I've downloaded stuff to my computer and I usually listem to them on the radio. About a year ago i went to a laser show with radiohead music. It was so awesome!!! I have to see if that is up again. Anyway, Radiohead is great.

i liked it, its got a depressing rhythm and an occasional kicking and screamning lol, the guitar work is briliant, and definitely one of those types my mother hates, so the over all is excellent lol

nah my mum just hate my music for the sake of hating my music lol.
the lyrics is indeed wierd, sometime i dont know if its philosphy or the artists are just writing to fill the notes. but it doesnt matter if its understood or not, its still good music.

everyone who has the slightest interest in Radiohead needs to do themselves a favor and buy the 7 television commercials DVD. It has most of their greatest songs up till OK Computer, and their videos are some of the best ever made as well. check it out.
