I was quite happy to find that these still existed somewhere in the net... isint it odd what other people may collect? ^_^U
anyway, im thankful. Oh, please do check the "looking for a few good artists" and the "Please come in, comments apreciated" threads i also have on this same forum, thankyou! ^_^
Note: these are just thumbnails, please click on them ^^
Some of the thumbnails dont seem to work right, but dont worry, clicking on them still show you the pics _________________ "It ain`t dead, just life impaired"

ive noticed this for quite sometime now, you seem to have a problem about poeple borrowing other cultures.
this is just what some poeple enjoys, shouldnt be something that offends you. _________________ "Look at me, with my pretty bracelet and tiara... I'm a fuckin' princess!"

Btw, other than the use of a scanner, there where no computers used on this pics, they where all done with either pencil, ink and pen, wax and/or watercolor, got some comments about how "sure its easy with computers" so i felt i should post it, thankyou ^^ _________________ "It ain`t dead, just life impaired"

But it's something that should bother everyone. I'm not a fan of nationalism or anything, but I feel people should just be happy with who they are. Being from a certain race doesn't make you cooler or better tthan anyone else, and there are a lot of people who think that.

Im sorry to break it to ya, sport, but there are no real "races" within humans, we are all from one single race, and that is the human race. Want proof? is very simple, different species cant breed with eachother, for example, a cat cant breed with a dog.. as they are different races
fish cant breed with birds... again they are different races. Cats, regretfully, cant breed with girls to get catgirls, pity, but we are different races
You are confusing nationalism with racism and elitism.
Plus, in case you havent noticed, this website is dedicated to anime and manga, which are art forms and ways of expression born in japan (as fara s i know, please someone correct me if im wrong) so is there any surprise if fans of japan based media, enjoy japanese expressions and culture? besides, it would be like saying that anime should ONLY be about samurai and japanese culture, never borrowing elements from other societies or cultures... wow i guess monster is a total fake and a horrible mistake then, since its based on europe, and NOT JAPAN, as are every single anime that has ever placed its characthers elsewhere but INSIDE JAPAN, isint it?
Now, this is what happens when ideas are good, see? they have this naugthy tendency to spread, so dont be offended if people likes something about a specific culture, as it means admiration. Now, if noone liked your culture, and noone thought it was worth emulating, you would not see any of it anywhere at all, would you?
You remind me of someone i meeted once, who tried to sign me up for the local neo nazi group, with stupid stuff such as "foreigners take our jobs" and "we must protect our culture"... guess what? i think he would be delighted to have a talk with you, somehow, you two appear to me as feathers of a same wing, birds of a same flock.
I guess people should NEVER listen to music in languages other than their own, either, and, why not, we shouldnt learn other languages, or speak to people of other countries, and internet is the devil! jeez you are a real eye opener, thankyou! We shouldnt read works of authors that are not national, and we shouldnt even stand to have someone from another nation come for sightseeing, stupid tourists, why dont they stay in their countries, why do they admire us, why do they come here, arggghh!!! driving me and Doukutsu-Monogatari crazy, they are! bring back the wall! cutt off roads, burn bridges, our culture for our people!
To the rest of you, have a nice day ^_^
To Doukutsu-Monogatari... please stop the hate _________________ "It ain`t dead, just life impaired"

Uh, what the Hell? There are such things as races; your personal beliefs don't override worldwide facts. You seem to be confusing species with races.
I said that I wasn't a fan of nationalism, but people should take a little more pride in their own culture instead of discarding it completely in exchange for another (which, from what I can tell of his internet persona, meganekko does).
I never once said don't like anime/manga. I came here just to read manga; I've no problem with it whatsoever. There's a fine line between liking and obsession, though, sir, and quite frankly, watching an obsession being expressed is rather annoying. I never said anything about the Japanese taking in other cultures into their own works, and I never said to strictly stay to your own.
Go to Hell. This has nothing to do with thinking one race is superior to another, or protecting cultures. If you hug something too much, you'll end up killing it. All of these fanboys wishing they were Japanese make the culture hard to touch for everyone else who want to just explore it as they would other cultures, since it's become the subject of "geeks", like Pokemon and the like.
Thank you for completely missing what I was trying to say and skewing it to make it seem as if I told off the poor guy (meganekko). Good day to you, sir.

if someone despise his/her own culture, that would bother me, but liking cultures other than their own is their business. perhap the america have made a bigger impact, i dont see anyone telling off the niggro wannabes. _________________ "Look at me, with my pretty bracelet and tiara... i have to admit, internet arguments are fun to read but this isnt the place to do it. maybe you could set up an antiglobalisation-type thread or something if you really wanted? but theres no point in getting heated up. just offer an opinion, youre not going to succeed in changing anybody through the internet.
hmm i just had deja vu...
anyway, are those yours Maglad or somethings you found?

Yes, those are mine, you like? ^^
And to answer to Doukutsu-Monogatari, talk is cheap, i`ve never seen you do it, and i already spoke to meganekko, and he seems an awfully nice, sensitive person, unlike others i could name, i see no reason to call him small or weak.
Anyway, lets cut it with that topic, i`ll accept your sorry because you admitted you over stepped bounds there, so i guess thats a step in the right direction =)
Now, to everyone, not excluding anyone, have a nice day ^_^ _________________ "It ain`t dead, just life impaired"
