wow...you've got 60k hp...I'm tired of clearing the spheregrid just to put the hp sphere....
that monster 'karma' technique is Tonberry right...? isn't that monster is easy to defeat...(he has less than 99,999 hp right...)
For me, Rikku is one of the best characters in FFX because her mix skill, especially Hyper Mighty Guard, which gives Haste, Protect, Shell, Regen, and Auto-life...this overdrive was my saviour during Penance fight...
Yeaps 60k hp and high stats still can't beat Penance. But how you'd beat him at 30k hp overall because isn't Penance Armageddon hit you 99,999 to all party members.Can you tell me in details how to defeat him?and how many person did you put Auto-Life skills?
Actuaclly I didn't say Tonberry is hard to kill but I love to play with him using Rikku and Yuna because his karma only hit not more than 100 (=~.~=)[anyway I forgot is the Tonberry or King Tonberry in the arena]. Rikku mix skill is really important and I'd use her for mixed up but not for killing only helping reduces enemy hp.

yes I had to admid that without those option the game will be hard, but to think again all FF game option are built for player to enjoy the game... if you dont use the game option then you're just asking pain your arsess on your own.
for me to reach max status in final fantasy7 is the hardest part in the game, I had to play for about 2 week to reach that level. just to beat the weapon... as I sayed I played it 5-6 times and complete it, can you imagine how pain it is to acceive this level each time you play? to fight same boring monster to ower up your status...?
that is why I saideventhough ff7 is hard but because i love the game for me the game is interesting rather than hard

Tell me which is the hardest.
Beating
FF6 without the use of espers
FF7 without the use of materia
FF8 without the use of junction
FF9 beating it under 12 hrs
FFX without the use of sphers
The hardest for me was
FF9 beat it in 12 hrs, will never ever try this chellenge again. EVER.
FF8 beat it without the junction system, i worn you don't go and level up evry charcter or else you are going to be dead period. The reason i say this is that in laguna's dream you can't beat the ruby dragon if all your charcter are at lv 100 and you can't beat lagunas last dream in esthar if your all your charcter are at lv 100. remember monster level up with you.
I admit i can't beat tonnbarry king and Omega weapon in a battle, without using The End. Quiet cheap, but can anyone in a no juction game do it without using The End?
Try one of the above and tell me which one is the hardest. I DARE YA
Yes i'm not agree with you even I'd say Final Fantasy VIII is easier among any other FF series but not all of it you'd can win if you're high level or high stats. Chosing the options for making FF more fun and hard that was a brilliant ideas you did and really you already beat every single challenge that you listed up there?
Maybe "The End" is quite cheap way to win but isn't the skill nice Tee Hee.. but defeating those monsters without using junction? no using materia and even no sphere grid? I'd hear this challenge long time ago and don't know even people can make it but sure you're hardcore gamers if you can do all of this challenge but as for me I'd love to play many times just too feel the games and not making the game stress to me d(=^.^=)b

Yup, Armageddon will deal 99,999 damage, that's why Hyper-Mighty Guard is extremely important....Hyper Mighty guard will give Auto-life/haste/protect/shell/regen to everybody...
Here's my tip of defeating Penance...
>All my character's hp is about 35-40k, I think it's enough because with auto-potion and protect, they'll automatically heal their hp to max everytime penance attack (must empty your item list of potion and hi-potion, then stock with elixir and megalixir)
>It's his left hand that cast Armageddon, so your prior is quick-hitting the left hand 6 time (deal 99,999 each time), then continue 6 time to right arm...(now both arm only have less than 1000 hp)
>then double-cast Ultima to get rid of both arm...
>Now that both arm are gone, it's time to use Blitz Ace and Attack Reels (with high luck, both will do approximately about 1500k damage). Then Rikku cast Hyper Mighty Guard...
>I know that the delay time for these overdrive is quite long (which give time for the body to attacks you+slow) but as you have auto-haste/cure, that's not a problem...

The hardest one was beating FF 8 without using the optional system junction.
The reason why is becasue you are just left with just a regular attack and your limit breaks. Its very frustrating and time consuming. Because you can't heal your self so you have to go all out or noting and rely on luck. Rinoa becomes very popular in a no junction game becasue of her invincible moon.
No i don't agree with you that FF8 is the easiest with the optional system.
if you use the optional system I will say FFX is the easiest because the stats in that game is just crazy if you use the sphers and their break limits that allows you to hit 99,999, have over 999 mp and hp over 9999. what fun is that?
All of the special options are there to differentiant the FF series from each other and to make a name for that series alone. Each series have their own unique ways of battling and storys. Each FF story is different from each other and sometime the special battle system relates to the storys like the espers in ff6 or the materia in ff7. So the story sometime makes the optional battle system special or the other way around the optional system makes the story better.

Be sure to check your armor and weapon...(Weapon with B.Damage limit, Triple ovrdrive, 1 mp cost, magic booster) while armor are (B. hp limit, ribbon, auto-haste/potion)
