Dude, how can you say that?!? I know this might be just me here, but learning another language is awesome! I even plan on Majoring in Russian (my school doesn't teach Japanese Crying or Very sad )! I personally plan on learning Japanese in my free time at College (which is not a lot, but I am a quick study); and while I plan on learning the oral language first that will be quickly followed by the written ( though I haven't decided which form yet). All this while preparing to take Russian next year!

By the way, I fluently speak Spanish, speak a decent amount of German and, other than fleshing out German, I want to also fluently speak Russian and Japanese by the time I die. Any languages after that Are added bonuses.
Weird, huh?

Wow, unlike you i'm not the patient kind of guy with knowledge. I don't ahve the patience to start a new language from the start. I also don't find some languages useful for my future. Though Japanese would be useful if I went into business, but i'm not.

I am... but my parents made me go to Chinese school since we're in Canada. I had to go through 12 levels of gruelling Chinese.

Ok, fine, you can speak, but no writing... and that's why you can fully enjoy many manga, like us who can read and write...

but if you know chinese (not sure which form of it you might know), then you came get by in China easily and that'd be nice. I think it be worth 12 years of chinese school.

I study Chinese in Kindagarden...
Then I study Malay Language in Primary School...
And then I venture into English Language 1119 in Elementary school...

If you ask me... I think I can speak multiple language but not particular expert in them. I do speak Japanese since I'm a 'Halfjap' but I don't really know how to write. As for chinese, I do know how to write some simple words and I know how to speak 3 types of Chinese Language. (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien)

Since I'm surrounded by "English-man" I speak English much frequently but since I'm mixing with people with high English Language level... I felt so bad all the time... T_T
However, I felt more comfortable with English and Hokkien the most... since I speak them often... and often forget how to speak Jap well since I seldom speak in them... well... since I'm currently major in Malay Language... I suppose i can speak Malay well... but I don't really like it...

My father speak ancient japanese that makes me wonder what the hell is he talking about... >_< Oh and my father is really old now ^^ Enough to be my great grandfather ^^
