interesting that you should post this just as i finish binging the entire second season yesterday morning xD. as such, its still in my mind as a most excellent anime. the animation is a bit dated and altho my subs were of not that great quality (e-f, but they got better as they went along), this show is great. it definately shows the power of gonzo's cgi team and the action sequences (esp in space) are an absolute thrill to watch. the story is geared toward comedy, which is used every chance possible, but has that "meaning of life" thing tacked on here and there. definately see if you have; and if you dont, make the effort to get it =D

Watched it and reallly liked it, I don't think it had dated animation, it was nice. The story was catchy and it didn't get boring at times. I'd give it a 9/10.

It's a solid series with a lot to offer. Simplistic in style. It's easy to get into, really.

Dita is cute.

I like the graphic of anime...n the story iz quite a gud 1...ha2..2 separate world....boys n gals..but i like the gals....ha2..

I've recently finished the whole two seasons. I say the story is good and the mix of comedy and action is great. Well youre asking for a summary but if you summarize the story its too long for this forum. I didnt like Dita very much even if she is the primary love interest of the story I liked Meia better also because of a better background about her past is shown in the anime. I hate Pyoro grrrr.

yeah i didn't reli like dita too...(dunno, I just find her abit annoying). The second stage did shock me abit though, things like the vice captian was actually male just crack me up...

I've had all of the dvd's of vandread for awhile now. I first saw a review for it in Newtype USA and knew I had to see it. I bought the first one, (BTW: it's a 45 min drive to get to the closest anime selling store where I'm at) and took many more trips to get the remainder of the series.

Very good series, I loved it.
