First off you need to read this: http://www.stuffmag.co.uk/hotstuffarticle.asp?de_id=601
Would anyone get one of these?? Obviously a more pertinent question for the A-Source ladies. Personally, I think they're wicked, one step closer to all the cool futuristic stuff we see in films is a good one (as long as we dont end up like the borg... more like the steam punk techno dudes )
P.S. Sorry if this should be in entertainment, I wasn't sure where to place it seeing as its not a tangible product yet but a theoretical one. Hopefully this topic will lead to further debate such as the moral/technical implications of such devices (Are they against God? What if they use windows, how will we fix them when they crash?!?). I have also read somewhere the Microsoft has patented a technology for using human skin as a battery, A La "The Matrix". |

| Yeah right... How exactly will the player be controlled... breast massaging? While seeing every woman on the street playing with her breasts would be somewhat interesting, I doubt that this will ever replace normal mp3 players ^^ |

Now THAT I would like to see..... I think the opinion of the article was that these were unlikely to replace normal players, but be a supplement/alternative to them. Still, makes you wonder what else could be done, with the malleable, paper like display technology developing fast, who's to say we wont have TV's embedded into our wrists, possibly with medical function such as blood sugar levels for diabetics or heart rates etc... I also read somewhere that with optical displays they can now refract light so that a small optical tube culd be placed behind the ear like the hooks on spectacles that could display an image in front of your eyes that noone else could see
Ok now I may be getting carried away, but tis all terribly exciting stuff. |
