Now that's a sig that'll give a lasting impression!

I've ever since thought of signatures as something that'll give a person his/her own personality/characteristic in a forum. Except maybe for the avatar and username, signatures are what defines that person's status in the forums. They are sometimes made to be attention getters.

So as for myself, I've made these sigs.


Now, mine doesn't even compare to yours. Your kind of abstract and modern concept in art is what I've been lacking and is trying to search.


Why don't you try making banners for Anime-Source? I'm sure they'll look great, wanna try?

I did actually make one. I have trouble finding the pictures to use for the battles. Alot of the time people want banners with like, every character from a show on them, which is hard for me to do because I dont know many good places to get pics from.

TeH you have a nice style of working on CG. You like to use a lot of details to fill in empty space. All your signatures seem absolutely great without a doubt but have you ever thought its too busy sometimes? They usually have some good contrast though.

haha, I get that all the time actually. I have a very uhh...ornate shall we say, style that alot of minimalist sig makers are constantly arguing with me about.

This is one of my more minimalist sigs, and I think it's one of my favorite ones over all. I posted it before, but I like how there isn't much going on and you can really focus on the text and the stock. It's also really balanced and I thnik it leads your eye better than most of my other sigs.

wow i like some of these new sigs. ROFL!!! @ the saved by the closet sig hahaha. i also like the DOA sig (for a number of reasons... ) and the Oxide one with the white background.
i really like the turtle in the Finding Nemo sig and i also think the background is cool but they dont combine well imo
these are great. some look like yourve been taking a different approach from the others we've been seeing. keep them coming

yeah, the turle one was kinda like....I made the BG which I though looked really cool like a coral reef. And then I was lokking for a stock, and just rushed into picking this one, so it didnt work well with the sig. Usually I go stock first, and then build the BG around it, so thats why it's wierd.

How were you able to do those backgrounds? I use Photoshop to do my graphics...

Especially the oxide one is awesome! The splashed paint effect is so cool, how'd you able to do that? I don't think I've stumbled upon a 'splashed paint' effect before...

Could you care to share your knowledge with us?

whoa Awesome sigs you got there. All are great but the ones i really like are Oxide(great background), Noob Saibot(fan of MK), and i think the best is Kill Zone(nice glow effect and the backgound suits the mood ) . the Harry Potter sig is kind of funny, they remind me of Mt. Rushmoore

Not bad, but not great.


Okay, so the splash paint effect is actually really easy. All ya gotta do is use grunge brushing. I make my own brushing(which you can learn how to do by going into your help section) but you can also Download loads of brushes from verious graphics sites.

I suggest deviantart.com due to the fact that most posters here are already members, so just go there and DL some grunge brushing and your set.

if you dont know how to get to those cutsome brushes, that you should go to your tool that is symbolized by a spray can Icon and select that, then you should pull up the toolbox that give you the seperate options of that tool. when you get there you should see a scroll that will let you choose from Pen, Flat, Square,Paintbrush, etc. shapes to do brushing on, but there should also be a Custom option, go to that and there will be the cooler, more complex brushes.

you have some decent stuff, i suggest working on your text and the anime stocks you use, some of them are low quality which takes away from the whole sig. clarity is one thing that i think your sigs need work on, but anyway nice stuff. if you need anyhelp i am staff at solidstructures.net which is a gfx site. stop by if you are interested.
