| This is a nice start, and a lot of the movies here are among my favorites, which i couldn't vote for for the simple reason that the "my favorite movies" list are far longer than just the five movies we could vote for...
hell, I can only remember two of my votes, as there were a lot of movies competing for my remaining votes ^^; |

| | Ah good call people on Tokyo Godfathers I had completely forgotten about that gem. Seeing Only Yesterday up there reminds me how much I want that movie and am pissed at Disney for "indefinately shelving" its DVD (or BluRay) release. |

| Wow, Kiki and Cagliostro this low? I realise they're usually overshadowed by Miyazaki's other stuff, but unfairly so if you ask me. I think they're the best the man has made, and if only Porco Rosso (the character) was to be in them too they'd be perfect.
Cool to see Only Yesterday and Satoshi Kon's stuff (although I personally didn't like Paprika, which, despite seeing it on the big screen, I found rather dull). Guess we'll be seeing Millennium Actress up there somewhere as well, and hopefully Takahata's Pompoko too, which is actually my favourite Ghibli and the only Ghibli to receive my vote (didn't actually vote for Kiki, and both Cagliostro and Takahata's Taiyou no ouji: Horusu no daibouken were too early). |
