| | I'll admit it, it took a while to get it up but i am glad it is up. It is always nice to see results and heck my comment (though after looking at it, wow engrish ftw?) made it up on one heh. Also the nice thing is that though x amount of the top 50 i know of/returning favorites, its when i see the others i wonder where i will find them to watch since i have been intrigued after reading the odd comment. |

| Wow, how unexpected that Mononoke-hime should win. ;) I'll agree that it's deserved though, even though it's not my favourite Miyazaki (Lupin III) or my favourite Ghibli (Pompoko). I do find some of the other spots a bit unexpected though - looks like I'll have to give them some of them a chance. Not FF though, unless somebody forces me to, as I don't like (most) CG at all, and find (most) action exceptionally boring.
Whoever said Ghost in the Shell doesn't have impressive animation must be drunk. :P If anything, I find it a visual masterpiece, much more so than its otherwise much more interesting sequel Innocence.
As expected, all the films I voted for but Lupin were too obscure too make the list. For the record, Night on the Galactic Railroad is at present my favourite film of all time (yes, including non-anime), and Pompoko isn't far behind. Takahata's debut film Taiyou no ouji: Horusu no daibouken ("known" in the West under various English titles) is a simple masterpiece with great characters, adventure, visuals and music (in short, a Ghibli film from 20 years before Ghibli), with a slight tint of socialism. My last vote went to A Tree of Palme for its sheer interestingness during its first two thirds or so, before it goes "mainstream" Ghibli-ish adventure tale (usually not a bad thing, but in this case it is).
Cool that enough people have seen Mind Game for it to almost make the list. :D |

| | Yup, seeing the top ten together one wouldn't think a better arrangement for all of them, results are totally fair. |
